Third Star

Okay so today, I watched a film called Third Star . If you don’t know what it’s about, basically it’s about a young man, his name is James and he’s dying of cancer and all he wants to do is go camping off this remote island in Whales which is called Berfundle bay and his friends Davy, Bill and Miles take him on a trip of his lifetime to give him a good send off . I just watched it a few minutes ago and I absolutely loved it . I was like crying for hours . It’s such a beautiful film . I pretty much cried during the whole film, not only the ending . I cried a lot at the end and then when the Morphine Toast came up, I cried even more, I was like ” Nooo, don’t do this to me ”. And then the ending credits came on and then the song is really sad so I cried even more . I was an emotional wreck by the end of it . Then I had to play like 80s music to try and cheer me up . Then my mum walked in on me and she just looked at me like ” What are you bloody doing, Christina ?”, and I was like ” Ehhh, don’t look at me ”. I was an absolutely mess . It took me a while to get over that . Really, it’s just fictional but cancer is a real thing and it’s awful. All the characters in the film just seem like your true friends, like you’re actually going on a journey with them .  It’s like you started with everything but you ended with nothing .

This film has an amazing cast . Benedict Cumberbatch plays the role of James . He was absolutely incredible . Normally I don’t watch his films but this one really blew me away . JJ Field plays the role of Miles . I love JJ Field, he’s such a great actor, I have a new found respect him now . I love him. He’s amazing in everything he’s in . I loved him in Austenland, loved him in Northanger Abby, loved him in Telstar The Joe Meek Story, loved him in Perfect Strangers . I just love him in everything . He doesn’t even need to say much and he conveys the right emotion really beautifully . Amazing actor . Tom Burke plays the role of Davy . Tom Burke is so underrated, he’s such a great actor, he needs to be in more films . Adam Robertson plays the role of Bill . I haven’t even heard of him before, it’s only now I’ve heard of him, he’s amazing .

James really broke my heart . He’s terminally ill with cancer and he hasn’t got long to live. Really, he’s got so much more to live for . That character broke my heart several times during the film . Really amazing acting coming from Benedict there .  I just really love these kinds of films. The stories really entrigue me and it’s films like these that inspire me to write my own stories . The director is an absolute genius. He managed to capture the reminiscence of the film and friendship . Yeah I just love these kinds of films . They’re real stories . There’s no special effects and explosions and bullshit in there, it’s just proper films with great stories . That’s really all you need .  I’d love to see more films like this come out .

This film absolutely blew me away . This is the kind of film that will rip your heart out of your chest . It’s absolutely beautiful . I just couldn’t stop crying . Now, every time I see Benedict, I’m gonna cry, because it reminds me of James . Such an amazing powerful performance . Everybody gave their best performances . Normally this isn’t my kind of film but I just got sucked in into the storyline straight away . This film is gonna stick with me for ages now . I’m definetely gonna introduce this film to my mum and dad and see what they think of it .

But yeah, Third Star is an amazing film. I would have to give it a 10 out of 10, or maybe even a hundred . It was written so well and everyone did a great job . I totally recommend you to watch this . But just bring some tissues, just in case .
