The Seekers: A Fan Post

Hello everybody, welcome back to Big Blog Theory, I hope you’re all doing well. It’s such a warm, hot day today, the sun is out and I think it’s time for another music post.

Today, I thought I would talk about The Seekers. If you don’t know who they are, basically, they were an Australian pop group from the sixties. They created so much beautiful music and they did so many wonderful songs. I just love them so much, I really do. Such wonderful music, very healing to one’s soul, I feel like I have to listen to their music every single day, they just sounded so good together. All the other members of the group are all playing instruments and their voices all harmonise with one another, it’s pure magic. They were always one of my absolute favourite pop groups from that decade. In my opinion the sixties is such a wonderful time for music.

Judith Durham was the lead singer of this group, she had such a beautiful angelic singing voice. Probably one of the loveliest voices we’ve ever had in the music game. Sadly, she is no longer with us but her work lives on. She had one of the most beautiful voices I’ve ever heard, she truly had the voice of an angel. I think we are truly so lucky to have had her.

I think it’s rather difficult to have to choose a list of favourite songs because they’re all so wonderful in their own ways, but I think if I had to, I’d say my favourite songs are I’ll Never Find Another You, Georgy Girl, A World Of Our Own, Mornington Ride, Emerald City, The Carnival Is Over, Red Rubber Ball and many more. All such wonderful songs.

If you’ve never heard their music before, go and check them out because honestly, you won’t be disappointed. Their songs all have such beautiful stories and they bring me joy but they also make me feel kind of sad and they make me feel so many different emotions at once. It’s sort of like a silent goodbye.

That’s all I have time for today, thank you so much for reading this post, I hope you liked it. I hope you all have a wonderful day wherever you are right now, love you all, stay tuned for more work here on Big Blog Theory.
