The Outsiders

Today, I watched a film called The Outsiders, and it’s about 2 street gangs called The Socials and The Greasers , and the socials keep sparking rivalries with the Greasers because they stand out and that they are different , I think the film is amazingly put together , I think that Francis Ford Coppola really highlighted the problem very clearly and it all went perfectly with the film, I loved the music and the casting and acting was also amazing , I think that I am obsessed with the film now , I teared up a bit with the scene when Ponyboy read Johnny’s letter , it was definetly emotional , and heartwarming , and no matter how many times you watch it, it’s very special and you still enjoy it .

I also formed crushes on the characters, my favorite characters were Johnny and Dallas .

I am so glad, that I watched the film while I could , it’s a film that could really touch and change someone’s life forever , and it teaches you on how important friendship is , and the film has a lot of power , and it knocks you in the feels .

I have to say that I’ll definetly be watching it again some time , and I think that you should check it out too .

It definetly has that 80s aroma even though it’s based on the 60s , and I love it so much, it really touched my heart and I do agree that nothing gold can stay forever, and it’s such a great film, And we should all do it for Johnny , and I think that the film teaches you a very important lesson in life .

Matt Dillon plays the role of Dallas Winston, C Thomas Howell plays the role of Pony Boy Curtis, Patrick Swayze plays the role of Daryl Curtis, Emelio Estevez plays the role of Keith Two Bit Matthews , and Tom Cruise plays the role of Steve Randle , and Diane Lane plays the role of Cherry Vallance  and Rob Lowe plays the role of Sodapop Curtis , and the cast of characters could go on , featuring more actors who played other roles .

Also, the film was based on SE Hinton’s novel, The Outsiders and also in one of the scenes , if you look closely , in the scene where Dallas is in the hospital , S.E Hinton makes an appearance in the movie too , which I find quite cool and fascinating, underlining that she got to play a role of Dally’s nurse in the film .  I’m definetly gonna be listening to Stevie Wonder’s song called  Stay Gold more often because it’s awesome .

And I also think that , you sort of feel sorry for the greasers because they are brought into situations without knowing and they are dug in the grounds because they stand out or that they aren’t privileged but if you think about it, for an example, Ponyboy, he comes from the group of the Greasers but he is quite educated and he loves reading , and Dallas Winston, he was a criminal and you can tell that he’s had troubles in his past ,  and Daryl Curtis is one of Ponyboy’s brothers and he is sort of a hardworking guy and he wants the best for his brothers so it kind of explains all of that in the film and the book , and Francis Ford Coppola really underlined the moral of the story perfectly , and the gang related problem is always necessary nowadays too, as well as back then .

And, my favorite scene through out the film is the scene in the drive thru , and adding to that, I have a very interesting and funny fact about that scene .

Fun fact } In the scene where the Two Bit, Ponyboy, Johnny, Dallas Winston , Cherry, Marcia were at the drive in, the part where Dallas Winston falls off his chair was actually unscripted, Matt Dillon actually fell off his chair while acting during the scene, I’m not sure if you notice but, during that scene , you can see that C Thomas Howell looked at the camera , waiting for the Director to say cut but they just went along with it, which I am happy that they didn’t take the scene out , because it was funny , that was definetely one of my favorite scenes throughout the film .

I am not gonna spoil it for anybody .
