Mean Girls

Ok so, a few weeks ago, I watched a film called, Mean Girls . Mean Girls is a teen movie that is about a girl called Cady who moves from Africa to join a new high school in America and she comes across a girl group called The plastics. You have to be aware of the The plastics because they bully, they betray and they talk about other students behind their backs . The head girl of the Plastics is called Regina George and she is the meanest out of them all. Her character is terrible but Rachel Mcadams plays her so well, Regina is so iconic, I love her so much . The other girls are Gretchen and Karen, they are also really iconic, Gretchen is so pretty . Also, they have a thing called The Burn Book . The Burn Book is a place where the girls write and spread rumors about the other students in the year book and under their year book photo, they write the sly rumors, they make the whole school turn their backs against each other, which was bad but hilarious at the same time, just the scene where Regina is standing right in the middle of all the trouble she caused, made me laugh my head off, that scene was no iconic . The movie also had some of the greatest quotes. Like ” Four for you, Glen Coco, you go Glen Coco ” and ” That’s so fetch ” and ” On Wednesdays we wear pink, I’m pretty sure we still quote them from time to time . The actresses are amazing in this, as well as all of the male actors, they all did an amazing job . Mean Girls came out in 2004, the 2000s had some great teen movies, such as Napoleon Dynamite and many more, they were so good like they had a unique charm in them, they certainly don’t make films like that anymore, but it’s nice just to go back to a certain decade and watch all the films that they produced in that time. This film was a lot of fun, me and my mum were at home, watching tv shows and movies together, like we had a girly night in, just spending some time together, we watched two episodes of Stranger Things and Mean Girls, we had a great laugh . Mean Girls is just one of those films where you can watch it a hundred times and you still won’t get sick of it, it’s great and because of that, I watched it again in the same week, just because I was scrolling through Netflix and couldn’t find anything to watch, so I was just like ” I know what I’m gonna do, I’m gonna watch Mean Girls again ” so I did and I can let myself off on this occasion . The song choices are really good as well, the whole film is just ” Chefs kiss ” they couldn’t have done it better. It totally can’t be remade today, the cast will be different and it will lose it’s charm, you just can’t remake good movies, you just can’t, no matter how hard Hollywood will try, they’ll never be able to remake a good old classic . The ending almost made me cry, it was a great way to end a film . The lesson that Mean Girls taught me was that you shouldn’t mix with a group of mean girls just to make people like you, it is extremely toxic . The film really did a great job in putting the message across, I loved it so much .
