The Goonies

Ok so, the day before yesterday, me and my family watched a film called, The Goonies. The Goonies is an 80s classic, it’s about a group of kids who go on an adventure to find treasure . It came out in 1985,It’s such a simple kids film, it’s really funny as well. The 80s had some wonderful films, it’s really funny cause, in the 80s, it was so grim and there was a lot of poverty and stuff, not to mention the aids crisis, it was just overall grim, I wasn’t around at the time but my dad was, he tells me stories of how it was back then and it wasn’t pretty, but they always managed to make some of the greatest movies ever, it’s a lot to be desired . The Goonies put a huge smile on my face, they seriously don’t make films like that anymore, but it’s good to have a bit of balance, cause sometimes, they still manage to make good tv shows and films too, you just have to wait  . The music in the film is really good, the characters are great, it all works quite well with the film . The Goonies is one of the films that never loses it’s charm, that’s the thing with those 80s films, isn’t it, they just never fail to raise your spirits . I’m not gonna go too far into it cause I don’t want to spoil it for anyone, if you are new to it, but all I can say is that you’re in for a real treat .

Sean Astin plays the role of Mikey, Josh Brolin plays the role of Brand, Jeff Cohen plays the role of Chunk, Corey Feldman plays the role of Mouth, John Matuszak plays the role of Sloth, Kerri Green plays the role of Andy, Martha Plimpton plays the role of Stef, Jonathon Ke Quan plays the role of Data, Anne Ramsey plays the role of Mama Fratelli, Robert Davi plays the role of Jake and many more .

Overall, The Goonies was a great film, it really lifted my spirits during these trying times, I think we all need a little bit of a pick up, laughter is the best medicine and you can’t beat it, so whenever you’re feeling down, you can always watch an 80s classic and have a good laugh, that is the magic in these sorts of films, cause we all watched these sorts of films when we were kids and when we get older, we come looking for them and it will always be a highlight in our lives and our childhood, that’s the best thing about nostalgia, there’s nothing better then watching something from the past, because it was more simple and you don’t actually take things too seriously, that is a time that we’ll never get back, but it’s still cool, whatever generation you’re in, cause there’s always something waiting in store .
