I Am Not Okay With This

Right so, for the past few weeks, I have been watching a Netflix series called I Am Not Okay With This . I Am Not Okay With This is a drama that is about a teenaged girl called Syd and she tries to navigate her way through high school and she has a super power called Telekenis. She can do stuff with her mind, which is so cool . I really love this show, it only has one season, the season only has about seven episodes but each episode has so much, it is incredible . The show has a great storyline, the scenes were well done, the cast were great, I honestly don’t know what else I could ask for, it’s just perfection in a series . I think my favorite character is Syd, but also I really like Stanley, I just really loved him as a character, he was just so awkward and funny . I loved that montage scene that included him, with that whole scene where he was singing and dancing around the house and in the shower, it just made me fall in love with him even more . Syd is a great character, her powers are sick, she could make noses bleed and she can make book shelves collapse, if that isn’t cool enough, I don’t know what is . I think there is a book as well, I think you should check it out . The music choice was really good as well, most of the songs that they chose were already my favorite songs, including Jessie’s Girl by Rick Springfield, which was played at one of her friend’s party, also, they played More Then This by Roxy Music, which was played at the homecoming dance, I really love that song and I think it really went well with the scene . I have no complaints about the series, I absolutely think that it was perfect from begin to end . The only thing that I am upset about was that Netflix cancelled season two, why did they have to do that, I was so invested in seeing what was gonna happen next, because it was left on such a massive cliffhanger, but it’s a shame . Dina is Syd’s best friend, I was actually confused whether she was Syd’s friend, because Syd was a closeted lesbian and she was sort of in love with her, so I just didn’t know, but either way, it’s fine . If you haven’t already watched it, sit down and watch it cause it’s amazing . This show gave me Carrie vibes, like the scenes where Syd runs in the road and the forest with blood all over her, that was like the typical horror thing, but I loved it . I Am Not Okay With This really got me through lockdown. I just like watching new shows during my free time . It was really funny as well, as well as it being terrifying .

Sophia Lillis plays the role of Syd, Wyatt Oleff plays the role of Stanley Barber, Sophia Bryant plays the role of Dina and more . The show was made by the same producer who produced Stranger Things and The End Of The Fucking World, I really like Stranger Things so that was quite cool . The show was produced by Jonathon Entwhistle, he did a good job .
