Top Gun, Maverick

A few weeks ago, I watched a film called Top Gun, Maverick . Top Gun, Maverick is the sequel to the original film that came out in the 80s . I went to go and see it with my Dad, my Sister and my mum and it was absolutely amazing . It continues the story . Fast forward a few years later, Tom Cruise’s character Maverick is a teacher and he has a bunch of students and he’s carrying on the legacy . I thought it was absolutely brilliant . Everything about it was amazing, the story, the cast, the acting, the cinematography, the music, everything about it was amazing . I’m a big fan of the original Top Gun, so I had to see this, I was curious to see what they would do with it . I was scared that they might trash it and add these really woke bullshit messages in it, like they always do with films and TV shows these days, they would always make the men look like idiots and the women really bitchy and they would make one gender stronger then the other, but surprisingly, they didn’t, and it was amazing . See, that’s what happens when you don’t wokify mainstream media, you just need a good story . I think most directors and writers should learn a thing or two from this film, you don’t need to add woke bullshit, there’s just no need for it . Hollywood’s job is to entertain me, not lecture me . I think they did a pretty good job with this . Me and my family came out of the cinema absolutely mind blown . This film just blew me away . I really made my day . I really didn’t think it was gonna be that good, it was more then good . One of the best films to come out in 2022, hands down . It really lived up to my expectations .

It was actually really emotional . Like there were some bits that me wanna cry . There were bits where I laughed so hard, it was just perfect. Great storytelling . It was really cool seeing a bunch of the original cast come back for this sequel . Like Ice came back. Val Kilmer was amazing . He didn’t speak in the film, soley because the actor was suffering from some kind of throat cancer and he lost his voice permanently, which is dreadful, but he did an outstanding job . Great work coming from the rest of the cast, especially the youngsters, they were amazing . I think everyone just saw Maverick as a dinosaur, but I think you kind of feel sorry for him. Especially after what happened to his friend, Goose in the original. I think they did a great job remembering that character, especially in the flash backs, it was really emotional .

We also got to see the return of Maverick’s iconic, legendary move. The one where he just flies straight up into the sky and it’s just straight up . He just can’t wait to take over and crash the plane, haha, that was brilliant . Seeing that on the big screen was brilliant .

We went to the Vue cinema . That’s a cinema that’s kind of close to where we live . It’s absolutely sensational . The cinema screen was massive and the sound was great . You get to really get in on the action, the graphics were amazing . It was a shame that there weren’t that many people who came to watch the film, I thought it would be packed. Oh well, they missed out on the fun, their loss .

Also, Tom Cruise managed to do his own stunts . The stunts in the film were crazy . Especially the one where the two planes are on top of each other . That also happened in the original Top Gun . Tom Cruise also sent half the actors to flying school so they would get the stunts right, which is serious . I think it all payed off in the end . Tom Cruise is such a great actor, he was amazing in this . It’s also a nostalgia trip, if you grew up with the original in the 80s, then you would love this . Top Gun is a 80s classic .

I just love how they did it . The ending is so amazing . It was almost like an 80s film, like I almost forgot that it was made today, for a second . They just did a great job . If I could, I would definetely watch it again . I’m so glad I watched it . It just really blew me away .

Overall, I’ve got to give this film a 10 out of 10 . It was perfect, from start to finish . That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you do a sequel . This is the only sequel I like, the rest of them are shit . Maybe one or two of them are good, but the rest of them are jack shit . I couldn’t give a shit about the new Jurassic World films. It’s just pure CGI bullshit . No offense to anyone who likes them, but me personally, I don’t like them . I don’t even have time to watch the first one, how am I gonna watch all ten of them ?. I couldn’t give a toss about dinosaurs. For a change, can we like make a film where the dinosaurs win and the humans die, I’d bloody love to see that . Just get one big ass dinosaur to eat a geezer up and then just roll the credits, then it’s the end of the film. There you go, award winning film, that’s a Oscar for me there. haha, sorry for going on a rant, I just really hate those new films . Where there’s no story and there’s just special affects . Just get some massive bird flying over this house and there’s this geezer wearing a pink dressing gown and half dressed like a priest and he’s dancing with a frying pan . There you go. Just make it woke and thrash Hollywood . I’m not even surprised if they make something like that . That’s where we’re heading anyway .
