The What Katy Did Book Series
Hi everyone, welcome back to Big Blog Theory, I hope you’re all doing well. Today I thought I would talk about books again. In my previous book post I talked about the Dirk Bogarde autobiography selection which I’ve been absolutely loving and enjoying but since I’ve finished my last book, I’ve been wanting to switch things up a little bit and read some different books in between. So, recently I’ve been blessed with a new wonderful book series which is called What Katy Did. It’s a classic American children’s book series written by this American author called Susan Coolidge. These books follow this girl called Katy who has all these resolutions but never keeps them and keeps on getting herself into all these schemes and scrapes, she says she wants to be a better person, but when she falls off a swing and injures herself, her life suddenly changes and she finds she could no longer do these things but she tries to make the best of things whichever the situation. That’s the main theme of this book, making the best of things no matter how difficult or bad the times are, I really love that.
I’m really loving this book series at the moment, I read the first book and really loved it, I’m so excited to read the rest of the series. They’re just wonderful children’s books and they’re very cosy. I’m so happy I discovered this book series when I did, I’m obsessed. I discovered a lot of Classic children’s fiction, some point last year and I’m just obsessed with it, classic children’s fiction is one of my favourite genres of books. There are still so many books I want to read. There are too many books I want to read, so very little time. Isn’t that the way? so, I’m trying to make more time for that.
I just really love the way Susan writes and these kids in the story they feel like my friends or brothers or sisters from another universe. I’m just so in awe. I totally recommend this book series, there are only three books in the series but it’s truly wonderful. They’re very cosy, very gentle, warm and very lovely and I’m looking forward to reading them.
That’s all for this post, I hope you liked it. I hope you all have a wonderful day wherever you are right now, love you guys. Stay tuned for more work here on Big Blog Theory
