The Traveling Wilburys
Hi everyone, welcome back to Big Blog Theory, I hope you’re all doing well. Today I’ve got another music post for you. Still talking about my recent music obsessions and just things I’ve been loving lately music wise.
And this one is going to be about a group called The Traveling Wilburys.
If you don’t know who they are, basically they were a British and American super group which featured artists and musicians such as Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, George Harrison and Jeff Lynne. I just love how there are so many legends in this band , so many big names and it’s like they were handpicked from all these different places/ bands just to make music together. Whoever had this idea is a genius in my book. These guys are just wonderful and there is so much chemistry between them, the way they perform and sing together is just pure magic. Sadly some of them are no longer with us. But their music is here to stay and they’ve made their marks on the world.
You had so many talented musicians, you had Jeff Lynne from the group The Electric Light Orchestra, you had George Harrison, you had Tom Petty, you had Bob Dylan, you had Roy Orbison, just so many legends in one room you couldn’t make this up, it’s just wonderful.
I haven’t listened to much of their music but I think my two favourite songs of theirs are End Of The Line obviously but also Handle With Care which is a song that I really adore, it’s a really beautiful song. You’ve got so many wonderful voices just harmonising and performing together, it just feels like they’re a bunch of friends singing and making music together. This group is an absolute gem. You’ve got everyone jamming and doing their thing and then there’s Bob with his guitar, it’s just so wonderful, I’m loving it. I can’t wait to discover more of their music.
I totally recommend that you check them out if you haven’t already, because honestly you won’t be disappointed.
That’s all for today’s post, I hope you all liked it, I hope you all have a wonderful day wherever you are, I love you all and stay tuned for more work on Big Blog Theory.
