Stand By Me

Right so, a few weeks ago, I watched a film called Stand By me. Stand By me is about a group of friends who go on a hiking trip to discover a dead body of a boy who disappeared whilst berry picking and this film was incredible . Gordie Lachance, who is a writer, looks back at his pre teen days and goes on an adventure with his three friends, Chris, Teddy and Vern to search for a dead body . along the way, they come to terms with friendship, loss and dysfunctional families . It’s such a great film, it’s probably one of the best films I have watched in a very long time . Stand By Me came out in 1986, the acting was sublime and very good and the story, of course . The ending got me in the feels, I was very close to crying, but I didn’t, but I was very close . The music choice was good as well . The story was based around the year of 1959, the film was directed by Rob Reiner . I think Rob Reiner really nailed it with the idea, he captured all the feelings and emotions and you really feel sorry for the kids for what they had to go through, minus the abusive families and other things too, Steven Spielberg wrote the story, he is an absolute genius, he ain’t mucking about, he knows what he’s doing . Stand By Me was based on The classic Stephen King novel, The Body, the novel goes for the same concept, so I think you should go and check it out, along with the film . The music is also very good, the soundtrack throughout the film just makes you wanna tear up, it’s just so good, the film is a winner .

Wil Wheaton plays the role of Gordie Lachance, River Phoenix plays the role of Chris Chambers, Corey Feldman plays the role of Teddy Duchamp, Jerry O Connell plays the role of Vern Tessio, Keifer Sutherland plays the role of Ace Merrill and many more .

I definetely recommend you to watch this film, it is so worth the watch, you won’t regret it .
