My Simon And Garfunkel Fan Post

Hi guys, welcome back to Big Blog Theory, I hope you’re all doing well. I’ll admit it’s been a while, so sorry if I have not been posting on here, I’ve just been very busy. But I’m here now and that’s all that matters

Today I thought I would talk about Simon And Garfunkel. I know I might have mentioned them on my blog once or twice before. These guys really mean so much to me as a young, 19 year old aspiring musician, poet and songwriter and someone who just loves music in general.

If you don’t know who they are, basically they are an American musical duo, mostly famous within the sixties and beyond. Paul Simon is the singer/ songwriter so he writes all these beautiful songs and Art Garfunkel is a singer. Even though Paul Simon is known for being the songwriter and the main force of the duo, I still think Art is just as important. They have the most beautiful voices and when they harmonise together, magic happens.

I’ve been really getting into their music lately, getting to know them as a duo. I just think they’re wonderful. I’d probably say that my favourite songs are Mrs Robinson, The Sound Of Silence, I Am A Rock, April, Come She Will, A Most Peculiar Man, Kathy’s Song, The Leaves That Are Green, Scarborough Fair, The Boxer and many more. It’s just silly because all the songs are wonderful, I can’t choose a favourite.

Their music inspires me to continue writing poetry and inspires the creativity in me. I just love them so much, I can’t imagine a world where Simon and Garfunkel don’t exist. I can’t imagine a world without music in general, to be honest.

I’m just so happy to have discovered these two, they are so important to me in every way and I’m so glad that they exist. I’ve also been watching their Concert at Central Park in New York it is incredible. I wish I was alive to witness such a historic event at that time, I’m sure it was wonderful. They were just rocking it up there

Yeah, how can you not love these two? they’re wonderful. I understand that they split but I think they made up and I’m so glad they did.

If you haven’t already listened to their music then I suggest you check them out, you won’t be disappointed. Every single song will take you on a journey that you won’t forget and when it’s over, you will feel like something has left you like it did with me. When certain songs come to an end, it feels like I’ve just lost a friend and you’re desperately trying to find that friend again but you can’t, it’s gone forever.  That’s the magic and the beauty of this music and I’m honoured to listen to this music and let it be part of my life.

I’ve also been getting into listening to Bob Dylan who I also love, I’ll write a post about him too, coming soon so stay tuned.

That’s all for now, I hope you all enjoyed this short but sweet post, I hope you all have a lovely day, thank you for stopping by, you’re all welcome here. I love you all, stay tuned for more work here on Big Blog Theory
