Jaws

A month ago, me and my family watched a film called Jaws. Jaws is a horror movie directed by Steven Spielberg, which is about a killer shark . It’s such a great film, I kept telling myself ” You can’t watch this, it’ll be too scary for you ” but I buckled in, I watched it and I loved it . It was such a nerve wrecking film, just the sight of people and kids swimming in the sea just sent chills down my spine, it made me shout ” No, what are you doing ?, get out of the water ” because I knew that something bad was gonna happen . The characters were great, the acting was spot on. Richard Dreyfus plays the role of Hooper, he was like the mad scientist who knew everything about sharks. Quint and Hooper basically carried the film, most of the scenes that they starred in, were amazing, you could just see that Martin Brody was losing his mind, having to spend a night with two maniacs, hahaha . Martin Brody is the chief police, he teamed up with Quint and Hooper to catch the great white shark . Roy Sheider plays the role of Martin Brody, he really captured the portrayal of his character, just really passionate in closing the beaches and making sure that everyone was safe was a great addition to his character . Also, this film has one of the most iconic quotes, which we all still quote in our day to day lives, which is ” You’re gonna need a bigger boat ” that quote is legendary, it will forever be iconic, having said that, the whole film is iconic, it’s a cinematic masterpiece that everyone needs to see . I was so chuffed to see what happened in the end, minus the really heartbreaking scene including Quint, but it was a great way to close the story off . Quint should of listened to Martin Brody because the shark was massive, the boat didn’t do it any justice, I guess they should of got a bigger boat.

The cast did a wonderful job, Jaws is now one of my most favorite horror films, it’s definetly up there with The Fog and From Beyond The Grave, it’s such a great film, I definetely recommend it . There’s also a few other films in the trilogy, but I haven’t seem them yet, I may watch them in the nearer future .
