In The City Script, The Job

{ First scene, Lawrence is sitting on a bench}

Lawrence} I think that it’s time, that I show you this maze that we made, it’s just kind of a waste but it used to lead us the way to a secret hatch, then I just suddenly realized that it was just leading us to the basement of somebody’s house, she found us once , sleeping with a sleeping bag, in the end, the council found out, and we had to get out , still think about it, though .

{Meanwhile, Tucker is opening his Job application}

Tucker} Oh geez, I’m so nervous}

{Tucker’s read}

” Yeah, so I just got the letter from my job application, so basically, I applied for a job at the BBC, where you get to be a journalist and you get to keep updates and that, I felt like I needed a job, I’m just lying around, not doing much, tracing the same road marks , doing shit I don’t really need to do .

{Director asking him a question}

Director} Are you looking forward to starting your job ?.

Tucker} I mean { Blows rassberry}, I don’t even have it yet, don’t drown in the idea yet, mate, we haven’t even opened the application yet , but yeah, I think I am looking forward to it, I don’t know on how Delsin and Leroy are gonna think about it, but I’m not gonna tell them , just yet, I’ll wait for a couple of days .

{ Meanwhile, Leroy is doing parkour over a fence}

{Leroy’s read}

” Yeah, I have started this new trend, where you have to jump over the fence without getting stuck on it , I tried it once, yeah, and it ripped holes in my shorts, I had to go to TK Maxx, but the bargains weren’t that great, they had these flairs, and cowboy boots, so I was like, ” Yeah, I’ll pass on that one ”, I mean, who needs flairs and cowboy boots ?, they seriously need to up their game .

{Meanwhile, Tucker’s in Jason’s office, opening his job application letter}

Tucker} I honestly can’t gather up the courage to open this letter, my hands are shaking .

Jason} Do you want me to open it for you ?.

Tucker} No, of course not, you keep your greedy paws off of my job application, I can do it myself .

Jason} Ok then .

{ Tucker trying to open it}

Tucker} Nah, you know what ?, you can open it .

{Jason opens it}

Tucker} This is so bloody intense, don’t look at me .

Jason} You have the job .

Tucker} I what ?.

Jason} You have the job .

Tucker} Are you sure, cause if you’re not, you are properly harsh .

Jason} I’m not, you have it .

Tucker} Yessss, ok, I have the perfect solution to this celebration .

Jason} What are you going to put on ?.

Tucker} I’m gonna put a song on .

Jason} Well then, use Spotify, don’t use You tube, you’ll block my data breach and my account .

Tucker} Bloody hell, it’s fine, why are you such a mizer ?.

{ Tucker puts on a song}

{Tucker plays 45 by Corner shop}

{Tucker starts dancing} ” Listen to it, Jason, .

{Jason starts dying inside while trying to act serious}

{ Then he starts jumping around and breaking things}

Jason} Woah, Tucker, be careful , you’re knocking all my stuff over .

Tucker} Jason, shut up, I’m having the time of my life, don’t ruin it for me .

Jason} I’m not ruining it for you .

Tucker} Yes you bloody are .

{ Meanwhile, Delsin is talking to a cat}

Delsin} See, I knew it, cats have an all seeing eye, I read this thing in a book, where it said that cats can read people’s minds, and maybe it’s true, well, I could believe anything, you can tell me that shoes can talk, and I’d believe you , but shit like that can get you sectioned , but yeah, I can tell you on what the cat is telling you, so right now, the cat is telling me to bugger off , so I’ll do that .

{Tucker’s read}

” I am so chuffed that I got the job, I finally get to do something with my life, I’m the sort of person who can deal in that sort thing as well, even though I don’t think I know what journalists do, do they talk to people ?, right, well that’s great, no one’s gonna tell me .

{ Meanwhile, Tucker is in Jason’s office}

Tucker} Jason, can you please tell me on what journalists do ?.

Jason} Well, they keep people updated on certain events .

Tucker} Right so, I’m gonna be talking outside of large buildings and areas ?, that’s just stupid .

Jason} Well, you might like it .

Tucker} I don’t think so, mate .

Jason} You don’t even know on what you are gonna be doing yet .

Tucker} Wise words, very wishful thinking .

Jason} Come on Tucker, don’t close the book on it, at least give it a go .

Tucker} Yeah, I’m going to try it and let the shit the fan .

{ Meanwhile, Leroy is walking around in the street}

What do I think of Tucker ?, I think he’s slightly odd, but he’s alright, he’s an idiot sometimes, but he’s a nice and pleasant idiot, you know, I’d rather have him then an actual idiot .

{ Meanwhile, Delsin is walking around in circles around a tree}

{Delsin’s read}

I think that Tucker is weird, he doesn’t take showers, but his personality is ok, he’s fine if he doesn’t knock you out with a 3 foot long shoe, but yeah , he’s cool . What do I think about Tucker and his job, um, don’t really know, to be honest, I think that he’ll do good, just kidding, he’d just be useless and unhirable in a heartbeat, he would not survive one day in the workplace, anything with computers and hard drives, he would be absolutely clueless ” .

I think that friendship is the key theme in this world, I have had to deal with the boys and I think that they hate each other but they are still friends , I have had to deal with a lot of swearing and shouting but they seem to be ok on the whole .
