In The City, Mocumentary Script, It’s A Lockdown

{ First scene, Tucker, Lawrence and Leroy are walking outside}

Tucker} Guys, which one of you is breathing so loudly, cause I can’t even hear myself think ?.

Leroy} Ok, it’s not me, but if it was, what’s it to you ?.

Tucker} What do you mean ?, I have a right to know .

Delsin} Oh shut up .

{ Meanwhile, Jason calls them}

Tucker} Oh hi Jason, what’s up ?.

Jason} I’m fine, would it be ok if we could have a chat ?.

Tucker} Yeah fine .

{ They turn up at Jason’s office}

Delsin} Ok, so what’s the deal ?.

Jason} Well, it’s very hard to put it into words .

Tucker} What, did a person egg your house or something ?.

Jason} What ?.

Tucker} Oh geez, someone’s egged his house .

Leroy} Ok, we need to deal with this .

Tucker} Yeah, we could tell Lawrence, man’s handy with num chucks you know ?.

Jason} Nobody egged my house, ok ?.

Delsin} What is it then ?.

Jason} Well, we are in a lockdown .

Tucker} A what down ?.

Jason} A lockdown .

Tucker} Right, so what does that mean ?.

Jason} It means that we have to stay indoors for a long amount of time .

Delsin} Jason, are you feeling ok ? .

Jason} I’m fine, Delsin , sit back down .

Delsin} Just don’t say down .

Tucker} No but seriously, Jason’s going blotto .

Leroy} What the heck is a lockdown , I’m so confused .

Jason} It’s a time for staying indoors, Leroy .

Delsin} Oh, I think I know what this is, you are doing this to us , so that we don’t have to listen to your shit .

Leroy} That makes sense .

Jason} No it’s not, ok, we are doing this because of a illness .

Tucker} What illness ?.

Jason} There’s an illness called the Corona virus .

Delsin} That sounds like bullshit , to me .

Jason} But it’s not though, this is real, it’s serious .

Tucker} Yeah, but it’s stupid .

Jason} Hey, hey woah woah woah, back up .

Tucker} What is it ?.

Jason} You need to stay 2 meters apart .

Tucker} What the ?.

{ Tucker’s read}

” Jason is the biggest fantasist I have ever met in my whole entire life, he really needs to relax and stop believing in shit that doesn’t exist .

Tucker} Why do you keep saying lockdown all the time .

Jason} Because, that’s what it is .

Delsin} What do we even do in this scenario ?.

Jason} Well, we are gonna close all of the pubs and public places .

Delsin} Nah, nah nah, the pubs ?.

Jason} Yes .

Delsin} You are not closing the pubs , I can’t live without having a pint .

Jason} Well, I understand, but we need to, in order to slow the spread .

Delsin} This is a nightmare, it’s like when you wake up and you see a clone of the Joker , trying to pull your teeth out , with massive tweezers .

Jason} It can’t be that bad .

Delsin} Well, it is , though .

Jason} You are just over exaggerating .

Delsin} No, I am not over exaggerating , you don’t have to put up with this shit .

{ Delsin’s read}

” He can’t bloody close the pubs, it is escapism for me, you know, I go there so I can block out all of Jason’s shit , just shit hitting the fan .

Delsin} I hate this, it’s a bloody lockdown !!!!!! .

Jason} Slowly .

{ Suddenly, Delsin picks up the hand sanitizer }

Delsin} Oh my, what is this ?.

Jason} That’s the hand sanitizer .

Delsin} It is cool, at the same time, it is shit .

Jason} Put it down, Delsin .

Delsin} Oh look, what’s this ?.

Jason} That’s a mask .

Delsin} Bloody hell, Jason, why do you have all of this stuff ?.

Jason} Well it’s for the pandemic .

Delsin} Rubbish, { Throws the mask at Jason}

Jason} Jesus, { Runs of the office} , ” Bloody mentalists ” .

{ Jason’s read}

” Yeah, I don’t quite know on what happened there, we might of had technical difficulties .

{ Delsin is leaning against the door, laughing his head off}

{Meanwhile, Jason’s running in a forest}

Jason} Oh geez, I am speechless, I think he’s gone now .

{Tucker’s read}

” Yeah, I don’t think that , Jason is used to a kick off, the man’s probably scarred for life, bloody hell Lawrence .

{Leroy’s read}

” Yeah, can somebody please tell me, what the heck is going on ?, geez , this is like a film, there are twists and turns everywhere , yeah, please end the film .

 

{Jason’s read}

” Yeah you know what, turn the camera off, Lawrence has gone full phycho , yeah, ok .

Delsin} Looks like my job here is done , bye .
