Sparks, A Brief Talk On 80s Pop Culture, Favourite Albums, My Sparks Related Dream And Some Of My Tips For Teens

Sparks is another one of my favorite bands . If you don’t know who they are,  Sparks was a pop group in the 70s but they also made it through to the 80s as well . Russel Mael and Ron Mael were brothers . I always thought that they were like friends or something, it’s crazy . Sparks is one of the greatest bands ever . Their music is so different and so weird but weird is good and you definetely don’t wanna be normal and like everyone else . They wanted to make content that no one has ever heard of before and I think that’s very important if you have some part in the music indestury .

I think my dad introduced me to them and I think the first music video he showed me, was Beat The Clock and I was like ” Who are these guys ?” I was so confused but as I got older, I began to appreciate their music for what it is . I think Sparks is just one of those bands where you will see them on Top of the Pops and wonder who the hell they are . You’re just like ” Who are these guys, why on earth is Hitler being forced to play the keyboard . It’s weird at first but then you’re like ” Hang on a minute, this is actually pretty good ” and that’s exactly what it was for me . I love all their songs, my top favorites are, This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us, Beat The Clock, Number One Song In Heaven, Left Out In The Cold, Wonder Girl, When I’m With You, All That, Save Me From Myself, When Do I Get To Sing ” My Way ”, Sherlock Holmes, Never Turn Your Back On Mother Earth, I predict and many more . I just love their music, it gets me in the mood to carry on doing my stuff . I write poems and scripts and whenever I’m just having a bad day in general, I just put on their playlists and it just lifts my spirits .

On this post, I’m gonna talk about Sparks and why I love Sparks. And later, I’m gonna talk about my weird Sparks related dream, then I’m gonna talk about 80s pop culture, so get comfortable, grab a snack, grab a drink and get ready because it’s gonna be a long post, so enjoy .

A few months ago, I actually watched a documentary on Sparks and I sat down with my family and watched a whole 3 hour documentary, my sister and my dad already watched it in the cinema but I didn’t get a chance to watch it, soley because it was rated 15, because some bits were innapropriate, it wasn’t innapropriate, it just had some swearing in it, so my dad ordered a DVD and we put it on, we all drank like hot chocolate and we just loved the documentary . The documentary just made me love them even more . Respect to them for getting on with their thing . I learned so much from it as well. It was just the best three hours of my life, it was so funny, so interesting, it was very touching at times, the animations made me crack up and laugh so hard, it was amazing, I just love watching music documentaries, they are so interesting and it gives you an excuse to listen to their music more often and I have no regrets . I’ll upload a picture down below, so you’ll get an idea of what the documentary is called .

Another thing that I really like, is that they have such a great sense of humor, they write songs about funny things but their songs just hit you in the feels . Number One Song In Heaven is my morning tune, I just put it on and the next thing you know, I’m dancing around the room, bouncing everywhere, I just love the energy . Ron Mael is the keyboard player, Russel Mael is the singer, he just does his thing, whilst Ron Mael is standing in the backround, just looking quite menacing, it’s just brilliant, it makes me laugh every time . I think from the first time a child discovers this band, they will be scarred because they have seen Ron, just viciously staring at the camera and you just see shots of his head floating and it’s just like vanishing heads, that’s not what happened to me, when I first found out about them, I was just interested and it was just mysterious and I wanted to know more about them as a group . I love all their live performances, I’m probably gonna catch up on some more . I think a lot of people would be confused, when they see it for the first time, that would of been a reality for kids and people back then, imagine if you are a kid in the early seventies and you first discover Sparks on Top Of The Pops, you would be whirling upon a world of confusion and mystery . Like my dad was just talking about it a few weeks ago, he was saying that loads and loads of kids would like go back to school and talk to their friends about what they watched on tv, they’d be like ” Gor, did you see that thing that was on the tv, last night ?, that guy with the massive afro cut and the other Hiter geezer ?” and the kid would like ” gor yeah, who were they ?” that was pretty much the reality for many people back then .

In 1974, the Sparks Brothers made their way into the charts with their debut, This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us, this was officially the first time anyone got to see them in action on a tv show called Top Of The Pops . This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us is definetely my song . I always put on that song when I’m helping my mum prepare the salad every Thursday, like we have this tradition, where every Thursday, we order Kebab and I make my own salad and it’s very nice, but yeah, I always play that song when I’m making the salad, and I sometimes dance around the kitchen with a cucumber, but don’t tell my parents that, they probably already know though, meh anyways let’s just forget about that, my dad is probably reading this, haha, dad if you’re reading this, I’m sorry, I love you but this is my time to shine, haha . But that’s totally one of my favorite songs from them, every time the chorus comes on, I always lip sync to it and I try to sing it, even though I have no idea what the lyrics are but it’s still a lot of fun .Sparks is an amazing pop band from the 70s, they definetely deserve more hype cause they are just not getting enough . Their music would go really well at a fashion show, like while the models are walking up and down the run way, their music would be playing in the back round . It’s funny I said that, actually, because the other day, my sister told me that there was a fashion show and they mostly played a lot of Sparks . Which is great and I could see why they chose them, because their music is very flamboyant and weird, I think it’s amazing that they are finally getting the appreciation and the recognition they deserve, they had it hard back in the day and they were hardly getting a look in, so I’m so happy that they are finally getting the nod . I wanna see their music get used for way more stuff, their work is amazing . I wish nothing but the best for the Sparks brothers, they deserve nothing but success all year round .

Sparks is definetely one of my favorite bands, well I have many other favorite bands as well, I love Queen, I love Suede, I love the Bee Gees and the Ramones, Blondie, Rolling Stones, The Smiths, The Bangles, The Go Go’s, The Beatles, Flock Of Seagulls and more .

But if you ask me what my favorite band is, I always say Sparks because they’re like amazing . They are just so talented and so good at what they do . Also, if you wanna hear a great song, go check out Cool Places, that song is also written by Sparks but Russel Mael and Ron Mael did a collaboration with Jane Wiedlin, Jane Wiedlin was from a female 80s band called The Go Go’s, that song was so good, the music video is great as well, it was such a great duet, like I’m watching it now and I’m like screaming right now, ahh, they look like some old married couple, haha, I love it, just look at how Russel Mael is looking is looking at Jane Wiedlin, like that’s romance right there, get yourself a man who will look at you just like how Russel looks at Jane . haha, , that kinda looks like something what me and my friend did when we were at school, we would just have a laugh, haha. Like Whilst Russel and Jane are doing love shack and dancing on the ceiling, Ron is looking like some clown, and he’s doing magic tricks, like what the hell ?, haha, it’s hilarious . but yeah no, Cool Places is a great song . And Russel has got some moves, and Ron also, and Jane, all of them have got moves . I really loved their live performance, it was very fun to watch, never fails to put a smile on my face . Like whenever I’m feeling down, I’m always like ” Ok, think about good and happy stuff, like think about Russel Mael and Jane Wiedlin ” and then after that, I’m instantly fulfilled with happiness, I always rely on Sparks to cheer me up when I’m having a bad day . I find joy in the simplest of things, so whenever I watch Sparks music videos and live performances, especially the Jane Wiedlin one, I get so happy, just from things like that . Like when I’m having a bad day, I just watch the Cool Places music video and then my happiness is restored .

In music video, Russel was doing Molly Ringwald’s dance move, the same one that Molly does in The Breakfast Club, Molly totally stole it from him, I totally thought it was the other way round, I thought that Russel stole it from Molly Ringwald, but then I realized that Cool Places was released in 1983 and The Breakfast Club came out in 1985, so I’m guessing that Molly Ringwald stole it from Russel, haha, either way, it works really well . Coincidently, they were talking about it in the documentary, so if you’re gonna watch it, watch out for that .

I am grateful that my dad introduced me to Sparks, my dad was around in the 70s and tells me these stories about his life growing up, it’s so cool . Unfortunatly, I’m about 14 and I was born in the 2000s, yeah I’m a 2000s baby, but no matter what age you are, you can still enjoy their music . No matter how long ago it was, their music will live on forever .

I just love how talented they are as a duo, like how can two brothers create such amazing content like that, it’s crazy . I just love Russel’s voice, it’s beautiful, I’m in love, haha . Also, another thing I love is, who ever watched the documentary, you will understand, but um, there’s thing really appealing thing what Ron does, whenever they do a life performance, he always does this dance where he bends down and swings his arms around whilst moving across the stage, I call it ” The Don’t mess with me, I don’t give a shit, Rocksteady Shuffle ” it’s absolutely hilarious, like every time he does that, you can just see Russel standing there, thinking ” Aw shit, here we go again, the last time I come and do this concert and he does this ”, it’s hilarious, but I feel like he was probably loving it at the same time, he was like ” Yeahhhhh, we need more, this is what the people came for ” haha . I love When I’m With You, that song makes me feel all these different feelings at once, there’s just something about it, it’s such a beautiful song . The music video for that song is very strange but it’s so good as well, it’s the one where Ron is sitting on a chair and he opens this case and then he pulls out this puppet doll and he’s just smiling very creepy and the doll has Russel’s face on it, yeah, that was weird, I remember being quite confused but I was also laughing too, I just love how they make the music videos, it’s very creative .

Beat The Clock is another one of my favorite songs, I don’t know why but that song would go so well if it played in the backround of a film scene where some guy is just running in the hallway and the clock is ticking and all havvock is going on, I think it’s a great concept for a scene, the song would suit that scene perfectly . Tell me it does to you too . But if I was around in the 70s, the first thing I would do is definetely go and see Sparks at a concert, that would be sick . Beat The Clock is a great song. The music video is quite bizarre but brilliant at the same time . It’s the one with all the cardboard cut outs and stuff . The music video also features the legendary massive clock . That clock is so iconic. Beat The Clock will never not be iconic . Let me tell you something, the other day, I went out for a walk with my parents and along the way, we stumbled across a giant clock and everyone was like ” Ohhh a giant clock ” and my mum was like ” Should we bring it home ?” and my dad was like ” What, that thing ?, no way, it’s too big, anyway, it’s fake ” and we just left it alone but at the time, I was thinking about the music video for Beat The Clock and I was about to tell my dad but I was like ” Nah, you know what, it’s best just to leave it ” cause if I was to tell him and try to joke around with the clock, people would think that I am crazy, like they would suddenly see me dancing in the street and spinning around on the clock, trying to represent the hands on the clock, that would of been weird, but I couldn’t spin around on the clock anyway, because it had a massive glass dome on it, and I would be like half levitating over it. So yeah, From now on, whenever I see a large clock, I always think about that song . And damn right, I have a reason for that .

The song, Beat The Clock was also featured in a game show in the 80s, which was also called Beat The Clock and they used that song in the intro, it’s actually really interesting . The song needs to be used for more shows and films, cause it’s such a good song .

I’m definetely gonna buy one of their records next time I go to a record shop, I would love to have a record of my own . I feel like Sparks is an underrated band and it deserves way more credit because they are so cool and their music is incredible . You just don’t see pop groups like them anymore, like they just stand out and people will remember them forever and you will recognize them from a mile away and like they shine, but I don’t think there’s any type of music out there that is similar to that, I could be wrong but I feel like society needs to let artists and musicians of this generation, use their imagination and run wild with their ideas because if you are creative with your ideas, you can make some really interesting stuff, like that’s just my opinion, not everyone will agree with me but that’s what I think . I’m sure that there are some amazing musicians and bands out there but we just don’t have bands like them anymore . Their music just makes you feel happy, it’s a breath of fresh air when you listen to stuff from the 70s and 80s, the music today doesn’t come close to that .

I think it’s because some of the music back then, had great baselines and beats and musicians were so creative when it came to music videos and it’s not like a person twerking and shaking their bum or something, like the stuff now is just so explicit and it’s so sexual, like it doesn’t need to be like that, it really doesn’t, they put heart in soul into their music videos, the 80s pop culture is a decade that we’ll never get back, but we can always go back and listen to the music and watch the old movies and tv shows .

Discussing 80s music and talking about ANR . { Which stands for Artists And Repertoire}

The 80s was an amazing decade for music . We had so many amazing artists and bands making it big in the music indestury . The 80s can never be topped as a decade when it comes to music and pop culture, the music here was way advanced, especially with British bands . There was a thing that was around in the 80s and it was called ANR. ANR stands for Artists And Repertoire. ANR were a record label who were going around, finding bands who weren’t that big and who weren’t signed up and weren’t getting a look in and basically, turned them into big stars  and they did records and stuff like that . My dad was telling me about this, the other day and I found it so interesting. Me and my dad are always discussing music and film and we always watch documentaries together . The 80s will never be topped as a decade . It was very ground breaking . I think the 60s and the 80s are the best decades, music wise .

Today I watched a short Sparks interview on You Tube and it was great, literally had no idea what the hell Russel was going on about, I think they were talking about when they did the song Cool Places and they collaborated with Jane Wiedlin from The Go Go’s and then Russel was just talking about The Groupies, saying that when he met them, then they tried to have sex or something, then they would tend to steal your money or something like that, I don’t know, I literally had no idea what was happening but it was a great interview, Russel was sitting along side Andy Warhol and Maura Moynihan and the only thing that kind of bothered me was that Andy kept interrupting and talking over Russel when he was talking like that is disrespectful like just let the man talk for god sake, Russel had so much to say. But anyway, by the time Russel started talking about the Groupies trying to have sex with him, you can just see the look on Maura’s face, she was like ” Ohhh god, I don’t think I’d wanna hear about it now ” and the whole atmosphere of the room just suddenly changed, that was hilarious . They did the interview in 1983, I’m assuming that it happened during the time when Cool Places was released . Interviews from the 80s, 70s and 90s were so weird, but they are real, it’s not like put on, just for the entertainment aspect of it, they actually had proper conversations about certain subjects .

Also another one of my most favorite Sparks interview moments, is when Ron and Russel were being interviewed by this presenter and Ron was talking about another one of their backstories behind one of their songs and then meanwhile, Russel is just completely minding his own business and he’s just eating cake, like that’s the mood, if that’s not the mood then I don’t know what is, but yeah he’s just like ”  I don’t know why you are here, talking about that shit, I just wanna eat my cake and chill, man, Ron, take it away, you do the talking, I’m gonna have a moment of silence and appreciate this lovely slice of cake ” haha that was hilarious .

Sparks is one of my favorite duos of all time, they are right up there with Ant and Dec, Hall And Oates and maybe Noel Edmunds and Mr Blobby, nah haha, definetely not, not gonna go there, but Hall And Oates and Ant and Dec, definetely . Also another thing, I watched a live performance where they played at Fairfell Halls in Croydon in 1975 and they were performing the song Amateur Hour and all the teenage girls just went crazy, they all tried to get on the stage and kiss Russel and you could just see him being slowly defeated by them and he’s like falling over, trying to get back up but the girls just keep coming back for more, then meanwhile, Ron is just sitting there, smiling and just not knowing what on earth is going on, it was absolute mayhem but it was hilarious to see, how they managed to carry on with their performance is beyond me, they are incredible, I don’t blame all the girls who went crazy for him, I would of done that if I was alive in the 70s and I would have the opportunity to tell everyone that I kissed The Russel Mael, like just imagine that, I wouldn’t wash my face ever again, but yeah I don’t blame them, he is a charming man and if he winked at me, I would die in the crowd, I wouldn’t recover from it for weeks, but yeah it was utter chaos but it was great, it’s nice to see that young girls and boys admired them back in the day, you don’t see that sort of thing anymore, but maybe, we might have musicians and bands that are similar to them in the nearer future, you’ll never know. I think Russel had one broken rib after that live performance, that must have been awful, poor geezer, hahaha. I think their music will be remembered forever, it’s just too legendary to be forgotten, like if there’s any teens that are big fans of their music then you have great taste, never be afraid to try out new things, you never know, you might have a new favorite band . Ron had the job of writing the songs and Russel had the job of singing and being the amazing man he is, which I actually didn’t know that so when I found out, I was like ” What ?, that’s crazy ” like their songs are crazy, they are so witty like they have witty humor and it’s really good. There’s another song called Dick Around and the song is good but the video is strange, like there are cats with violins and it’s all havvock going on, it kinda reminds me of Ludwig for some reason, except it’s not hatching out of an egg, it’s like some respawn, but the song is good, fun fact actually, that song was banned by the BBC, I feel like that must have been a shock for the Sparks brothers, but obviously, the BBC didn’t want to play the song on live tv in the morning but that fact had me in stitches, they had a great sense of humor for ideas for their songs.

This Town Ain’t Big Enough For Us is a song about a guy who can’t get a girl and I feel like some of their songs is about trying to get a girl and that’s why I love them, it’s such a great song, I’m in awe every time I listen to it, it’s brilliant, you really need to check it out, that song is fire . The set that they did on Top Of The Pops was absolutely brilliant, Russel’s dancing gives me life, like his dancing is the cure for any illness or like depression .

There were also four other band members who were also in Sparks but people don’t really talk about them much so I just wanna say that they are also fantastic, I think one of them died, I think it was Norman Dinky Diamond, he was the drummer but he sadily passed way in 2004 from a battle with depression but he was great at what he did, but in the 70s, whenever they did a live performance, they would all be together so I think that’s what it is, you only see Russel and Ron on music shows like Top Of The Pops but actually, they were a six man band, that’s pretty cool if you think about it . The band Sparks creative some pretty strange content, they are supposed to be a pop group but what’s weird is that most of their songs don’t have rock and pop elements but it works so well . If I was alive in the 70s, the first thing I would do is definetely go to a Sparks concert, that would be sick . If I was 18, obviously, I would have to be older, because sometimes weird stuff happens at gigs, people go mad, then also, Ron would sometimes take off his pants and his underwear, like nah, I don’t wanna see that shit, nah . But I would definetely go to Sparks gig, because Sparks is awesome, how could I pass on that ?, I would miss the opportunity of a lifetime . But first, I need some to give me a time machine so I could get out of the present time and go back to the 70s and 80s, haha . In about a few minutes time, you will see no sign of me, haha, wish me luck . Just kidding, I’m not going anywhere, I’m staying here, I’m not going back to the 70s, are you mad ?, I would have the whole whole neighborhood in hysterics, haha . But yeah, I bet that Sparks sounds amazing live, I could only imagine .

The music video for Number One Song In Heaven is brilliant, there’s all smoke everywhere, then there’s about five Rons standing around, then you see Russel singing and standing in the middle of the room, like having a scrap with someone in the smoke and the wind . Like it’s just too good, the song is a classic, it’s so iconic, especially today, it’s a timeless classic .

I also really love the music video for When I’m With You. Ron is sitting on a stool and he pulls out a doll straight out of a brief case and Russel’s face is on it, then later on, it shows Russel hanging around with some alive manequins, well, one of them is alive, at least, it’s so creepy but it’s so good at the same time . Cool Places is great as well, I love the whole collaboration with Ron, Russel and Jane Wiedlin, I love the song, I love the music video as well. And Jane Wiedlin, gorgeous as always, and Russel, great as always, such a gentleman, rocking that orange jacket . Looking smart and handsome . They are dancing around, whilst Ron is doing magic tricks and doing some weird shit . I have many favorite duets with famous musicians from that time. I loved it went David Bowie did a duet with Freddie Mercury and Queen when they made Under Pressure, I loved Dancing In The Street by David Bowie and Mick Jagger, it was a great duet and such a great song, then I also loved Elton John and Kiki Dee’s Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, Ebony And Ivory by Paul Mcartney and Stevie Wonder, I loved it when Fun Boy Three callaborated with Bananarama, and they came out with Really Saying Something and It Ain’t What You Do, It’s The Way You Do It and many other ones as well , but Cool Places with Sparks and Jane Wiedlin has got to be my most favorite for a number of reasons, 1, because it’s bloody brilliant, and 2, it’s such a good song and it’s catchy, I could listen to it on repeat and not get sick of it, it has a timeless affect on me, and it’s probably the same for millions of people too .

That video screams 80s, you can’t get any more 80s then that, I’m loving it . It seemed like they had so much fun filming that video, and it seemed like Russel really loved Jane Wiedlin and really wanted to work with her, it’s just so wholesome . That is the sort of duet I wanna see, not a collaboration with Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, I wanna see something creative, I don’t wanna see a bunch of grown women twerking their asses off and complaining why a man isn’t treating them right, I wanna see something more creative and genuine and fun. I’ve had enough with all that stuff, you’d wanna create something that the younger generations could actually listen to, and don’t brain wash them into thinking certain stuff . In the 80s, they had proper talent, half of the stuff nowadays, just have autotune, it’s not their real voice, and their just feeding teenagers a steaming pile of shit, it’s not even good music, they have subliminal messages and it’s all about sex, money, drugs and abuse, that isn’t good, I feel bad for kids these days, I really do. Because they have nothing that they can look up to, they just have degenerates for role models and idols . No offense to anyone who likes Doja Cat, Cardi B or Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, everyone has a different taste in music, it would be boring if we all liked the same thing. But I personally don’t like it, I like different stuff, it’s just my opinion, I’m not bashing any singers or artists, I just feel like it had to be said . Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk, haha . I don’t even like Nicki Minaj anyway .

I feel like she is just playing dumb half of the time, I remember when she made this video, I think it was a part of one of her documentaries and she was talking about how women were treated in the music indestury or something like that, she seemed to have hit the nail on the head, she was talking a bit of sense, but now, I feel like she’s just all over the place . Like she’s a bit stupid, like she thinks that the Covid vaccine did something to her friend’s testicles, like how stupid is that, it’s a lot of bullshit coming out of her mouth, some people just shouldn’t be allowed to be given a voice, the ones that do have a voice, just talk a lot of crap and the ones who are really quiet, actually have something important to say, but they never have a chance to talk, because of people like Nicki Minaj, who assumes that she knows everything that everyone else doesn’t .  Like first of all, how do you know that the vaccine is affecting your friend’s testicles, are you a scientist, no, see that’s what I’m talking about, she’s not a scientist and she feels like she has all the power to go on social media and spew out a lot of garbage, social media is full of smoke and mirrors, a lot of misinformation, everyone doesn’t know what they are talking about, but that’s what happens when you give people a voice, that shit happens . Like, everyone is an expert these days, everyone’s a scientist, everyone’s a doctor, everyone’s an expert, everyone’s a bullshit gatherer . Don’t rely on people on the internet, to give you advice and a bunch of information on health related stuff, ask an expert, they are the ones who have studied in medicine and the vaccines way longer then anyone else has . Don’t believe in any shit that people tell you on Facebook or Instagram, ECT ECT . Because the experts and the scientists are the ones who know what’s best for us, at the end of the day . I feel like Nicki is probably really sweet, but going on the internet and sharing misinformation is not the move . Because some people are not smart enough themselves and they’re gonna go on there and see your comment and they’re gonna listen to you and whatever you said on your comment, people are gonna cause a lot of damage to your body and you Nicki, is gonna be responsible for that . So you better keep your mouth shut . I could never look up to a role model like that, and I’m gonna be honest, that fact that many young girls are looking up to her, is scary, because she’s not setting a good example, she just gives me a lot of bad energy and usually, when a celebrity manages to do that, it means that they are bloody terrible .

I feel like Ron isn’t getting much appreciation, but like his talent for writing songs is through the roof and his humor is classic, what more do you want ?. Ron is looking good for him in his 70s . I don’t know how he can still do that dance and not get bad back pain, it’s beyond me, hahaha . I watch a lot of his videos on Twitter . Like he makes these five minute clips on Twitter, he just answers some questions that people ask him and he does them with Russel and they talk about their music and that sort of thing, it’s really interesting, I’m learning a lot, I’m learning something new every day, it’s brilliant . I’m probably the one who knows the most about them in my family, my sister and my dad knows about them, but I’m watching interviews, I’ve listened to most of their albums, I’m watching short clips on You tube about them, so technically, I know the most out of my whole family . But really, there’s no competition, there’s something for everyone .

Growing up, I kind of got confused with Sparks and Hall and Oates, because John Oates looked a little bit like Ron Mael so I kind of mixed up the two, but then I found out that they were two different things, so it made sense. I’m guessing it was just the moustache, haha . Both of them are really good music duos .

I have been listening to some of their albums, recently. I listened to their 1986 album, which is called, Music That You Can Dance To. That album is fantastic, I was listening to it on Spotify, that album is great, all the songs are great as usual . My two favorites songs from that album are Music That You Can Dance To Modesty Plays and Rosebud but I love all of them equally . You guys have to check it out sometime . Like I was listening to it over lockdown, it was wicked . I heard Music That You Can Dance To for the very first time on a Sparks interview on You tube and after that, I just listened to it non stop, and I’m thankful for that .  One of the back stories behind that song, is there was a time where the record label told them to make music that you can dance to, then they just went and made this song, honestly, the Sparks brothers have an amazing sense of humour .What would the world be like without the Sparks brothers, who knows ?, it would be like the twillight zone, honestly, it would, their songs make me think that life is worth living . And I doubt that Russel and Ron are reading this, but anyways . I’ll upload a photo of what the album cover looks like down below, so that you could see it .

The songs that are featured on the album

. Music That You Can Dance To

. Rosebud

. Fingertips

. Armies Of The Night

. The Scene

. Shopping Mall Of Love

. Modesty Plays

. Let’s Get Funky

There’s also another one of their songs that I really love, it’s called When Do I Get To Sing ” My Way ”. It’s basically about a guy, in the story, Russel is talking about himself and he’s seeing the other guy, who is played by Ron, and he’s seeing him get all the fame and he’s wondering when is he gonna get his share of the fame and the lime light. That song is so catchy, the music video is a work of art, it makes me laugh every time . I found out about the meaning of the song by watching an interview on You Tube, that was officially done in a kitchen and Russel was talking about it, I think they did it at the same time when the song came out, I think it was during the 90s . But that song is fantastic, it had me dancing across my brother’s room on Christmas day, it was so much fun . I definetly recommend you to check it out, it’s amazing .

I think some people may see Russel and Ron as quite eccentric, and you may think that they just base their songs  on martians and stuff like that but actually, they deal with some serious topics and subjects, their music stands out from the rest of the music out there . They were talking about it in another interview that I watched .

In Outer Space is another great album. I basically listened to the whole album on Spotify, whilst I was doing my workout . The songs are fantastic, like Dance Goddammit, All You Ever Think About Is Sex, A Bunch Of Fun Guys and Cool Places are such great songs, but I love all of them the same way . Lucky Me, Lucky You is such a beautiful song, Jane Wiedlin’s voice is beautiful, she has the voice of an angel, way better then mine, when I sing, it sounds like a dog who is dying in an alleyway, like it sounds like when a dog is trying to hit the high notes in Take On Me, haha . But yeah no I love Lucky Me, Lucky You, two beautiful voices in one song, it’s making me cry just thinking about it, it’s beautiful . In Outer Space is like my go to playlist for my workout routines, like I get on the excercise bike, I put on Sparks and then I’m all set . Now, tomorrow, when I’m gonna do my workout again, I’m gonna do the same, but this time, I’m gonna listen to the Angst In My Pants album and I’m so excited . Dance Godammit is a good song, the lyrics ” I like clubs, I like girls, I like music and that’s it ” is one of the most funniest song lyrics ever . I love all the songs on the album. I’m gonna upload a photo of the album down below, so you will get an idea of what it looks like .

All You Ever Think About Is Sex is a great song and the music video is also really good, the music video was hilarious, like some people would think that it’s shit, but I absolutely love it, like I just watched it the other day and I just almost died of laughter. The music video was just so messy and chaotic . Like in the video, it featured Russel singing and busting out a few moves and whilst he’s doing that, Ron is getting brutally attacked and defeated by hundreds of cream pies and he’s just getting a pie to the face every minute of every second . Like whilst Russel is singing, you could just see the absolute havvock that is going on in the back round, it is so funny, it just makes you think ” What on earth is going on here ?” it’s absolutely hilarious . What phased me was that Russel didn’t get any cream on him . Like the whole time, Ron was getting attacked with them and it was all over him, then Russel barely got any on him, like how is that ?, I think it’s because he was wearing these pants, haha . But yeah, the music video is so weird, but I think it’s good, it’s a crazy concept for a music video but it’s good, they’re just trying to help keep science alive, haha .

And by the way, If you wanna know the titles of the songs, I’ll put them down below .

. Cool Places

. Popularity

. Prayin For A Party

. All You Ever Think About Is Sex

. Please, Baby, Please

. Rockin Girls

. I Wish I Looked A Little Better

. Lucky Me, Lucky You .

. A Fun Bunch Of Guys From …

. Dance Godammit

So here you go, all the titles of the songs are up here, so I hope that you found this useful, and um enjoy reading the rest of the post.

So yeah, so here’s what it looks like. I would very much like to buy this record, because the music is great and the record cover is hilarious . There’s also another thing, I watched this clip on You Tube, where Ron and Russel were on this show and the presenter was talking to Russel about the album and then he went up to Ron and the presenter said ” Did you like doing this, Ron ?” as he was referring to the record cover, of Ron getting a pie to the face and then Ron replied with this legendary answer, he said ” I’ll do anything for a good cover ” like that was hilarious, Ron is so funny, like he always has the killer one liners .

Ok so, I just finished listening to the Sparks album, Angst In My Pants and honestly, it is such a good album, all the songs were great . I still don’t understand why that album failed back in 1982, it is a great album . The songs that were featured on the album were, Angst In My Pants, I predict, Sextown U.S.A, Sherlock Holmes, Mickey Mouse, Moustache, Nicotina, Instant Weight Loss, Tarzen And Jane, The Decline And Fall Of Me and Eaten By The Monster Of Love . My favorites are Mickey Mouse, Nicotina, Instant Weight Loss, Angst In My Pants and I predict, they are just upbeat and so amazing, it definetely made my 15 minute workout so much more enjoyable . This is definetely one of my favorite albums . I predict is also a great song, the music video is so brilliant, like Ron doing burlesque was absolutely hilarious, it’s beyond me how they even thought of that idea. The album record cover is really interesting, like the record cover features Ron as the bride as he just stands there, wearing a wedding dress and meanwhile, Russel is the groom . The album cover is so funny, like it’s so Sparks, it’s crazy, like only the Sparks brothers would think of something like that, I love it, I’m loving the vibe, it’s absolutely brilliant . I’ll upload a photo of the album down below, so you will get an idea of what it looks like .

Another one of my favorite Sparks albums is Whomp That Sucker . Whomp That Sucker was an album that came out in 1981 . The songs are amazing . The songs that are featured on the album, are Tips For Teens, Funny Face, Where’s My Girl, Upstairs, I Married A Martian, The Willys, Don’t Shoot Me, Suzie Safety, That’s Not Nastassia and Wacky Woman . I’ve been listening to the album on Spotify over the past few days and honestly, it is incredible . Tips For Teens is a great song. It’s a song about teens, I think that’s what it is . I’m not too sure on what it’s about, some people are saying that it’s a song about puberty and the effects on the female body, because it sounds like ” Tits For Teens ”, but I’m not even sure if that’s right, the song can have hundreds of meanings, I think it’s a song about teens, and their angst problems, because some have anger issues, like you can’t tell me that the song isn’t about teenagers with anger issues, cause like, it seems to me, that the words ” I got a snapshot of your Aunt Maureen, she’s ninety and you’re a teen, I’m just trying to cheer you up, don’t be so mean, don’t be so mean ” and along with some of the other lyrics that come later on in the song, it sounds like it has something to do with anger issues in teenagers, but I don’t know . But yeah, the song is so clever and just really good . The music video is really good as well, I’m loving the whole boxing theme, it’s such a good idea for a music video and just to see Ron and Russel getting beaten up and thrown around and across the ring, it was really funny . The whole album is really good . Suzie Safety is also a really good song. Every time I cross the road, I think about that song and how great it is, like every time I’m waiting at the zebra crossing with my family, that song just lives in my mind rent free, like I just hear ” Suzie Safety, Suzie Safety ”, like it’s just there in my head . I’ve just come to the conclusion that I listen to too much Sparks, haha, because it’s taking over my life, and I’m not complaining, haha . I’m glad that I’m obsessed with Sparks and that I spend half of my time listening to their music and thinking about them and writing scripts about them . all of them are great, like you just can’t go wrong, can you ?. I totally recommend it . Here’s what the record cover looks like .

One of my favorite albums is Kimono My House. Kimono My House was an album that came out in 1974. That album has so many great songs on it, like This Town Ain’t Big Enough For The Both Of Us, Complaints, Amateur Hour, Here In Heaven, Falling In Love With Myself Again and Talent Is An Asset, Thank God It’s Not Christmas, Hasta Manana, Monsieur, In My Family, Equator, Lost And Found and Barbecutie . All of them are such great songs . I’ll put a photo of what the album cover looks like down below, so you will have an idea . But Kimono / My House is definetely one of my favorite albums from them, if I had to buy a Sparks record, it will have to be Kimono / My house .

Another one of my favorite albums is Number 1 In Heaven . I just finished listening to it and honestly, it is amazing . Number One In Heaven was an album that came out in 1979 . The songs that are featured on the album are, The Tryouts For The Human Race, Academy Award Performance, La Dolce Vita, Beat The Clock, My Other Voice and of course, Number One Song In Heaven . I think this has to be one of my favorite albums yet, all though,  I do love all of them the same way . It is such a good album, they made some great songs in 1979 . It kept me occupied, I was just listening to that whilst I was getting some blogging done, and it was amazing . The Tryouts For The Human Race is a great song, I remember seeing it on Top Of The Pops and just being like ” What the actual heck ?”, this was after we watched the documentary and I was so excited when it was announced that they were gonna be on Top Of The Pops, it was great . Like the presenter on Top Of The Pops was like, ” And in number one, we have Sparks and The Tryouts For The Human Race ” and my dad was like ” Oh no ” and I was like ” Whooo yess, come on ”, it was hilarious .  If you haven’t listened to that album yet, go and check it out, cause it’s incredible . I’ll upload a picture down below, so you would get an idea of what it looks like .

Ok so, another one of my favorite Sparks albums is Indiscreet . Indiscreet is a great album . Definetely one of my favorites . Indiscreet was an album that came out in 1975 . I just spent the last few minutes, listening to this album and it’s incredible . The songs are so good . The songs that are featured on the album, are Hospitality On Parade, Happy Hunting Ground, Without Using Hands, Get In The Swing, Under The Table With Her, How Are You Getting Home ?, Pineapple, Tits, It Ain’t 1918, The Lady Is Lingering, In The Future, Looks, Looks, Looks, Miss The Start, Miss The End, Profile and The Wedding Of Jacqueline Kennedy . All the songs are just amazing . My favorites are Under The Table With Her, Miss The Start, Miss The End, Pineapple and Tits, but all of them are great, I love all of them . Tits is a great song, it’s about this guy who is obsessed with his wife’s Tits or boobs or whatever you wanna call them, and he is furious because his wife’s Tits are being used for breast feeding, which is absolutely hilarious . It took me quite a long time to understand what the song was actually about, and turns out, it’s a song about narcissism, to be honest, I’m not even too sure . But yeah no, it’s a great song . Pineapple is also a really good song, from now on, whenever I see a pineapple, I’m gonna sing that song, haha, then everyone in Lidl is gonna think I’m off my rocker, haha . The Wedding Of Jacqueline Kennedy is a good song, it’s not an actual song, it’s just a short 10 minute clip, which is about a wedding . It was so funny, I literally just spent the last few minutes, laughing my head off, what the hell was that ?, haha, that voice in the beginning, the voice of the person doing the sermon in the wedding, it was so high pitched, oh my god, what the hell ?, haha, it was so funny . I was not expecting that, was not expecting that at all . Indiscreet is one of my favorite albums, I totally recommend for you to check this one out, it is an amazing album . In my free time, I just listen to a whole bunch of Sparks albums, it is so much fun, my goal is to listen to all the albums that they have made, that is my goal . I have already listened to Music That You Can Dance To, In Outer Space, Angst In My Pants, Kimono My House, Whomp That Sucker, Number 1 In Heaven, and then the next album that I’m gonna listen to is Big Beat, then after that, I’m gonna listen to Pulling Rabbits Out Of A Hat, then after that, I’m gonna listen to A Woofer In Tweeter’s Clothing, then I’m gonna listen to the album, Sparks, then I’m gonna listen to Terminal Jive, then after that, I’m gonna listen to Introducing Sparks, then I’m gonna listen to Interior Design, then I’m gonna listen to Propganda, then I’m gonna listen to Gratuitous Sax and Senseless Violins, then when I’m done with listening to those ones, I’m gonna start listening to their newer albums and music that they have made, recently, such as Hippopotumas . So yeah, those are my goals for at the end of the year .

Sparks albums that I have listened to

Sparks albums that I have yet to listen to

But yeah, Indiscreet is an amazing album, I enjoyed listening to it, it really lifted my spirits, their music never fails to cheer me up when I’m going through the darkest of days . I’m gonna upload a photo of the album below, so that you can get an idea of what the album cover looks like .

Big Beat is another one of my favorite Sparks albums .  I just listened to the whole album on Spotify yesterday, when I was doing my workout on my family’s excercise bike, and honestly, it’s one of the best things I have ever heard in a very long time . It was such a great album. There were so many good songs on it . The songs that were featured on the album are Big Boy, I Want To Be Like Everybody Else, Nothing To Do, I Bought The Mississippi River, Fill Er Up, Everybody’s Stupid, Throw Her Away { And Buy A New One}, Confusion, Screwed Up, White Women, I Like Girls, I Want To Hold Your Hand, England, Gone With The Wind, Intrusion / Confusion, Looks Aren’t Everything, Tearing The Place Apart . All Of Them are such great songs. Screwed Up is one of my most favorite songs that is on the album . It’s catchy and just a clever and a very well written song, Ron is an absolute genius, he writes the best songs. Who knew that Sparks have also done ” I Want To Hold Your Hand ”, The Beatles did the original, and Sparks sort of copied them, but what I love is that Sparks did their own take on the song, like it sounds different compared to The Beatles version, I love the version that The Beatles did, really, The Beatles did the original, so really, they should be getting more credit, but I absolutely love the version that Sparks did, it was so beautiful, Russel’s voice is beautiful, when I heard that song, I almost cried, but it’s happy tears, of course, it was the most amazing thing ever, it was like love at first sight, when I first heard it, it was amazing . I love all the songs, it’s one of my favorite Sparks albums, I’m so glad I gave it a listen . Sparks have never made any bad songs, I have not heard one bad song from them, they are immaculate, definetely one of my all time favorite pop groups, their music is like magic . There is no such thing as too much Sparks. you can never have too much Sparks, if anything, it makes my life so much better . Gives me something to look forward to every day . I don’t know what I would do without Sparks, I can’t live without it . But yeah, Big Beat is a great album, I definetely recommend you to check it out, I’ll upload a photo down below, just so you get an idea of what it the record cover looks like .

Another one of my favorite Sparks albums is Pulling Rabbits Out Of A Hat, this album came out in 1984 . I just finished listening to it a few minutes ago, I listened to the album on Spotify whilst I was doing some drawing and honestly, it is fantastic . It’s one of the best ones I have ever listened to, all though I love all of them the same way, they are all amazing . The album has so many great songs on it, it’s just an amazing album, one of my favorites .  The songs that are featured on the album are Pulling Rabbits Out Of A Hat, Love Scenes, Pretending To Be Drunk, Progress, With All My Might, Sparks In The Dark part one, Everybody Move, A Song That Sings Itself, Sisters, Kiss Me Quick and Sparks In The Dark, part two . All of them are such great songs, I literally spent the last twenty minutes, just vibing and dancing, whilst I was drawing a picture and I was like just in the moment, my dad was probably confused, whilst my sister was wondering why the sofa is vibrating and why there is wind circulating everywhere like mad, but it was worth it . Pretending To Be Drunk is such a good song, I love it when Ron writes a song then he adds a lot of witty humor, the songs are so funny and just so amazing and very well written . The only thing that really pisses me off, is that the album is so short, there’s only like 11 songs on it and that’s it, it’s not good, man, I need more, I need more, I need like twenty songs, eleven is not enough, haha . But yeah, it was such a good album, all the songs are amazing, really catchy, so well written, they really made my day a lot better . Sparks is my comfort music . Whenever I’m feeling down, I always put on Sparks and then I’m like revived again . Like yesterday, I started getting mad for no reason and then I put on a bunch of their songs, then the next thing you know, I’m prancing and dancing around the house, singing Wonder Girl by Sparks and my mum was like ” What on earth is going on ?”, I was having so much fun, it was as if nothing happened. I can’t even remember what songs I sang, it’s just been a blur, I think I sang Wonder Girl, Here In Heaven, Amateur Hour Tips For Teens, Complaints and I Predict, I was just having so much fun. Sparks is my go to thing for comfort, it always manages to lift me up . So yeah, Pulling Rabbits Out Of A Hat is an amazing album, I definetely recommend you to check it out . I think I’m gonna have to  listen to it again, some time . I’ll upload a photo of the album below, just so you will get an idea of what the album cover looks like .

Talking about the album cover

I really love the concept for the album cover . Ron looks demented here, looks like he’s about to whomp someone on the head with the puppet or something, haha. I love the idea . Sparks is very unique, their album covers never fail to impress . This is one of my favorite album covers . And also another thing, Ron looks less terrifying here, because he doesn’t have his deranged Hitler moustache, but it’s still terrifying, haha . They must have had a lot of fun with designing record covers, I could only imagine what goes on behind this whole thing, haha . But yeah no, love the album cover, love the color choices, and I just love the strange aspect of the theme, like Ron as some weird, deranged puppet master, it works somehow, I think it’s absolutely brilliant .

Another one of my favorite Sparks albums is Sparks, this album came out in 1971 . I just finished listening to this album and oh my god, it’s absolutely amazing . So many good songs . The songs that are featured on the album are Wonder Girl, Fa La Fa Lee, Roger, High C, Fletcher Honorama, Simple Ballet, Slow Boat, Biology 2, Saccharin And The War, Big Bands and{ No More}, Mr Nice Guys . All those songs are just amazing . My favorites would have to be Wonder Girl, Slow Boat, Fletcher Honorama and {No More}, Mr Nice Guys, but I love all of them . Slow Boat would have to be one of my most favorite songs, the melody is great, the tones are great, it’s just an amazing song, it almost made me cry, it’s one of those songs that will make you happy and it will also make you sad at the same time, it’s a great song. It’s a great album, if you have time, definetely give it a quick listen, it’s incredible . I’ll upload a photo of the album down below, just so you could get an idea of how the album cover looks .

Another one of my favorite Sparks albums is Introducing Sparks, this album came out in 1977 . I listened to the whole album this morning and oh my goodness, it’s absolutely incredible. This was the second album of my day, I already listened to the Sparks album, which was called Sparks and then I felt like listening to another, I know, I am on a roll today, aren’t I, I need my daily dose of Sparks, otherwise I’ll just go mad. Introducing Sparks is a great album, so many good songs on it . The songs that are featured on the album are A Big Surprise, Occupation, Ladies, I’m Not, Forever Young, Goofing Off, Girls On The Brain, Over The Summer and Those Mysteries . All of them are such great songs. I’m Not is a really good song, when the song start playing, I just started dancing around my room, I was completely in the mist of everything, I didn’t even realize that I was dancing either, I just was, I got completely into it, see that’s the thing with Sparks, their music makes your body move without even realizing it, their music is absolutely magical . So yeah, I love that song, but all of them are amazing . I’ll upload a photo of the album below, just so you can get an idea of what the album cover looks like .

Another one of my favorite Sparks albums is A Woofer In Tweeter’s Clothing . I just listened to the album this morning and oh my goodness, it is absolutely incredible. You will hear me saying this quite often, like you will assume that I love everything, which is not true, I don’t like everything, there are certain things that I really love and find pleasure from, such as Sparks and a lot of 60s 70s, 80s music, and it’s obviously because there is not one song that Sparks has made that is bad, all of their albums and songs are amazing, so no, I don’t like everything, I find pleasure in certain things . A Woofer In Tweeter’s Clothing is a great album, all the songs are great . A Woofer In Tweeter’s Clothing was an album that came out in 1973. The 70s were the best days for the Sparks brothers, the best albums came out in the 70s, and the 80s, of course, love a bit of In Outer Space, Pulling Rabbits Out Of A Hat, Angst In My Pants and Whomp That Sucker, a lot of great albums were released in those times . The songs that were featured on the album are A Girl From Germany, Beaver O’ Lindy, Nothing Is Sacred, Here Comes Bob, Moon Over Kentucky, Do Re Mi, Angus Desire, Underground, The Louvre, Batteries Not Included and Whippings And Apologies . All of them are such great songs, it’s a great album . This really cheered me up, I woke up, feeling un motervated to really do anything, and the songs really made me laugh and it put a huge smile on my face, it really brightened up my morning . The album cover is so bloody brilliant, it’s my favorite album cover, everyone just looks potty, I just love it, what’s going on with everyone’s hair, haha, everyone just looks like they need therapy, haha, it’s brilliant . I’ll upload a photo of the album cover down below, so that you can get an idea of what the album cover looks like .

Another one of my favourite albums is Interior Design . Interior Design was an album that came out in 1988. This album had so many amazing songs on it . It was such a great album . The songs that are featured on the album are So Important, Just Got Back From Heaven, Lots Of Reasons, You Got A Hold Of My Heart, Love O Rama, The Toughest Girl In Town, Let’s Make Love, Stop Me If You’ve Heard This Before, A Walk Down Memory Lane, Madonna, Madonna French Version, Madonna German Version, Madonna Spanish Version, The Big Brass Ring, So Important Extremely Important Remix . All of them are such great songs . I had so much fun listening to this one . What I love, is that there are loads of versions of the Madonna song, there’s a French version, there’s a German version and there’s also a Spanish version. That way, people from all around the world can understand that song, that’s what I love about it . For those who don’t understand or speak English, They have access to different versions, which is amazing . All their albums are amazing, it’s just really good music . This is the album that had the couple on the front cover. Here’s what the album cover looks like .

Another one of my favourite albums is Propaganda . Propaganda is such a great album . It had so many good songs on it . The songs that are featured on the album are Propaganda, At Home At Work Play, Reinforcements, B.C, Thanks But No Thanks, Don’t Leave Me Alone With Her, Never Turn Your Back On Mother Earth, Something For The Girl With Everything, Achoo, Who Don’t Like Kids, Bon Voyage, Alabamy Right, Marry Me and Interview . All of them are such great songs . I was just listening to this album whilst I was writing one of my stories and I absolutely love it, each song has it’s own story. It’s the album cover where Russel and Ron are tied against a ship whilst the ship is moving across the sea . it’s just absolutely brilliant . It’s actually based on a film that they made, they made this animated short film that included both of them. It’s so weird but at the same time, it’s brilliant . You have no what’s going on in the film, there’s a bit where Ron and Russel are in the sea and then they drown, but then you find out that they’re not dead and they are just driving in a car, it’s so weird but the idea is just really funny . They both have a great sense of humour so of course they’re gonna come up with that . They also mentioned this in the Sparks Brothers documentary, I found that segment really interesting because they go over the concept of that idea . Great music as always . Sparks never fails to impress . Even their new stuff is wicked, I like how they changed music styles throughout the 70s, 80s, the 90s and the modern era . The music they make now is very different as to what they made in the 70s, but it’s good to try something new, it’s always good to experiment with different tones and music genres until you find something that feels like you . I really loved this album, I love all the songs, it’s very hard to choose a favourite, since they are all good . I totally recommend for you to listen to this album, cause it’s great . I’ll upload a photo down below just so you know what it looks like .

I just love all their albums . I love their albums that they made in the 70s, I love all their albums they made in the 80s, as well as the 90s. All the way into the modern era . I love their new albums as well. The music changes every decade, which I think is great, since it’s good to try new things and experiment with different kinds of music . Terminal Jive is another one of my favourite albums, that one came out in 1980 . It’s a great album . Literally all their albums are brilliant . I’m going through a phase at the moment, where I listen to every single one of their albums. And when that’s over, then I’m gonna find another album to listen to, but right now, I’m just going over all the Sparks albums .

{Next part of the post, Talking About My Sparks Related dream} {  Just for clarification, you guys don’t need to read this, you can just skip it and move onto the next part of the post, but if you want to, go ahead, it’s there for you to enjoy and have a laugh}

Right ok so, it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for, it’s about time that I finally shared my weird dream with you. I keep having these weird dreams every night, I don’t know what it is but it’s the same thing every time, I few weeks ago, I had this dream that I was at a Sparks concert in the 70s and I was pregnant, in my dream, I was about thirty five, I have no idea why I would be at a concert if I was pregnant and I was growing a human in my body, but anyways, I was there with my partner and we were in the crowd watching Russel and Ron perform, by the time Number One Song In Heaven started playing, I felt a load of kicking and I was like ” It’s not gonna be long until this thing comes out of me ” and then, Ron started doing his weird tap dancing thing and the kicking got worse and I was in pain . I was going into labor. My partner had no idea what was going on, he was panicking and stuff like that.

So he carried me in his arms and put me down in a small area back stage in a mosh pit and I was sitting down. I was in a lot of pain and there was this guy in the crowd and he was like ” Can someone just get this woman a burger ? ” because he thought that I was hungry, haha, I have no idea what he was thinking . Then someone told Russel that I was going into labor, the security guard was like ” A pregnant woman who is in need of help on aisle five, clean up on aisle five, thank you ” and this person was thinking ” Clean up on aisle five, what the flip ?”, and at that moment, when she said that, this guy came bashing through that door, pushing a person in a wheel barrow, like the person in the wheelbarrow was wearing like a cape with gold sequins on it and he also wore like these massive golden sunglasses and he came through like ” Wheeee ”  everyone was even more confused, then this guy was like ” Why you coming fast ?” . There was this other geezer who was completely mucked out of his brains, who had a few drinks, he was sitting down, cross legged on the stage, holding bottles of beer in his hand, just saying these things like ” I’m Zeus, can you see my thunderbolt ?, can you see my thunderbolt ? ”, Then there was this man who was like ” Oh piss off, you plonker ”, it was a mad house, first of all, I have no idea how he even got up on the stage, surely, the security would of just dragged him off, it’s the 70s, like come on. I was lying against the wall, the next thing I know, I see Russel running in to check if I was ok, coming in like he was the nurse or some shit, then he was comforting me and he started telling me that everything is gonna be ok, he told me to keep breathing and he was like ” Just keep practicing your breathing, ok, you’re doing so well ”, and I was like well shit, I’m trying, he was also like rocking me back and forth, I don’t know ok ?, I have no idea what happens in child birth, anyone could be traumatized, especially in a place like that, it’s all dark and stuff, there are no health experts anywhere, just two guys from a band named Sparks, a heavily pregnant woman, a very confused crowd of people and god knows what else . Man cancelled his gig just to make sure that I was ok.  Ron was wandering around, thinking ” What the hell is going on ?” and Russel called my partner and then he came running in as well, Russel had the idea of staying there with me and didn’t leave until I was ok . He was being a real sweet heart. Surprisingly, he was very calm about it, meanwhile, I was like crying, I was freaking out and swearing at everyone around me, I could tell that some of the people there wanted to go home and laugh so bad . I’ll say it again, I honestly have no clue how I even had this dream, I must of ate something before I went to bed, the wonders of imagination, ay . So carrying on with the dream. My partner tried calling an ambulance but the paramedics were really busy at the time, so we had to think fast, my partner was like ” Okay, I’m gonna go and get help, you stay there with her, just keep her talking, keep her talking ” and he just went. While he was gone, Russel just sat there with me, I leaned against him, whilst I was on the floor, I was like that really tipsy jester from The Tempest, I wasn’t singing songs and stumbling around the place, all the while, the wicked Caliban shrieks absolute havvock, I looked like I was drunk, I didn’t know where I was, and I was like really drowsy and I was panicking, I was like ” Ehhh, ehhh, Johnny, johnny, ughhh, where am I ?, where am I ?, ahhhhhh” and by the way, if you don’t know who Johnny is, it was my partner and no, it’s not Johnny Cade, this isn’t a Outsiders and Sparks cross over, just letting you guys know . and like Russel was there, he wrapped his arms around me and he was like hugging me and he was like trying to calm me down, he started talking to me in a very gentle, quiet voice, he was like ” Shhhh, shhh, it’s ok, you’re ok, everything’s gonna be alright, just take deep breaths, take it easy, take it easy, we’re gonna take it nice and slow, ok ?” and I was like in so much pain, then after a short while, my partner came back and he said that no one was there, not even a paramedic that could take me out in an ambulance . Russel had the idea of lending a hand to my partner and helping me give birth, he explained to me that he has had experience, he told me that he used to be a mid wife, and he’s had experience, all from women at their concerts and they start freaking out and they suddenly faint and give birth, , I don’t even know how that is possible but yeah. And just to be clear, Russel was not actually a midwife, it was just like that in the dream, like what ever you do, don’t search it up, don’t be like ” Was Russel Mael a  midwife ?”, I don’t want you googling it up and sparking some confusion, cause you will end up breaking the internet, so yeah. He got some supplies and put down a blanket and then I was holding my partner’s hand, I was like gripping onto it, I could see that my partner was in so much pain, like there was a part where he thought that his hand was gonna fall off, and he thought that I was gonna turn into the hulk any minute, it was like The Force Awakens, but without the actual force, it was like the verge of sheer chaos, I mean like yeah, I believe that the force does exist because it’s like pushing, but it’s a different kind of force, like bruv, that’s not how the force works . You think I was in pain, my partner had it even worse. And then I saw Ron, sitting in the corner of the room, and Russel was kneeling down on the floor, and I was like ” Is this the real life, or is it fantasy ?, caught in a landslide, no escape from reality. The Russel Mael is delivering my baby, and did you really think that I was about to sing Bohemian Rhapsody, not happening, haha . A few minutes later I gave birth, Russel was excited to meet the baby, Ron was skeptical for some apparent reason, and Russel was like ” Ron, come and say hi to the baby ” and he came and scarred her, the baby took one small glance at Ron and was traumatized because of Ron’s Hitler mustache . The baby started crying so Russel took it and started singing When I’m With You and This Town to it and the baby started laughing. Now, because it was a dream, you would think that my baby would have two heads but it was in natural form. Now obviously, the baby couldn’t really see, because it  just came out of the womb, but I think that he might of obviously saw a glimpse of Ron and thought ” What the flip ?”, but I have no idea . There was this woman standing in front of me, just being emotional and she was crying and she was like ” It’s so beautiful, it’s amazing what her body can do ” and there was this guy who was stood next to her and he was like ” Hm indeed ” then Russel was like ” Shhhh, shut up, woman ”, two people were laughing and I was confused, I was like what the hell is this woman doing ?, there were these two women and a man just standing there, wondering what the hell is going on, one of them was like ” What is this shit ?” . Then there was also this 10 year old kid who was there with his mum and he was like ” Mummy, that woman is gonna have a baby and then I’m gonna be her godfather. I’m gonna have a baby too, you know ?, and I’m gonna call it Bertha, but it could also be twins, then I could name one of them Bertha, then with the other, I could call it Bengiss”.And the mum just standing there, and she spat her water out .  Me and my partner were up to the part where we think of a baby name, we had no idea so we let Russel think of one instead, we thought that he would think of a normal name like Jamie or Charlie, but nope, do you know what name he chose ?, Esmerelda, yep he named my kid, Esmerelda, but seriously, who on Earth names their kid, Esmerelda ?.At the end of the dream, me and Russel ran away with each other into paradise or the woods and we got married and lived happily ever after, even though Russel named my baby, Esmerelda, I still loved him. I feel like in the aftermath in my dream, my kid would be a lot older and she would of been going to nursery, then she’d be telling everyone that she met Hitler, then I would be like ” It’s probably better just to not explain it her, it’s too much for her, it’s too complicated, haha, then all the teachers would be like ” Esmerelda, stay away from the dog shit ”, ” Esmerelda, stop touching that girl’s hair ” ” Esmerelda, you got a what in Algebra, haha. And then suddenly, some woman thought that Ron was my husband and she was like ” Is that man your husband ?” and I was like ” No, oh hell no ” and she was like ” Oh thank god he’s not your husband ” and this random guy was laughing his head off, then Ron just looked at me with his shoulders back and just shrugged . Russel’s manerisms suddenly changed. Russel’s accent suddenly turned into Cockney . He went from ” Hello, how are you ?”, to ” You What ?, you having a Turkish ?”. ” Who the hell speaks French ?”, and he started getting agressive. I was like ” What the fuck just happened  ?”. The next day, I woke up and I was in a small ward at the hospital and I opened my eyes and saw Ron, standing in front of me, I almost jumped out of my skin, he was like smiling with his mouth open wide, I was like ” Ahhhhhhhh ” then I saw Russel, sitting by the bed and he was like ” Good morning, sweetie, how are you feeling ?” . And I was like ” I’m alright, thanks ” I was still shaken from the night before, then he was like, rubbing my face with his fingers and he was like ” It’s ok, it’s alright, it’s over now, you’re in the hospital, you’re safe ” and I was like ” Awww, thank god ” . And he looked at me and he was like ” Where is she ?” and the midwife brought in the baby whilst carrying it in her arms, she was beautiful, well obviously not at the beginning, because she just came out of the womb, she was like covered in fluid . But a few minutes later, she was all clean, there was like a shimmer in her eyes, Russel fell in love with her, he was like ” when she grows up, she’s gonna be an amazing young woman and she knows that she has a amazing mom ” and I just started crying emotional tears . Then another nurse came in and she was like still confusing Ron with my partner, she was like ” Excuse me, miss, is that your husband ?”  Like Jesus Christ, the Monday, Night Time Concert birth Fever all of over again and I was like, ” Oh my god, that question again, how many times do I have to tell you, he’s not my husband, he’s just a friend, haha, I can’t believe this, I can’t believe that I’m stuck in a hospital, with this Hitler dude and this caveman dude man, I have no idea who they are, they’re like the Hinduja brothers, and this is absolute havvock, and um, who’s that ?” I looked outside the window and saw my partner running down the street with a bouquet of roses, going full Morrissey, only this time, he wasn’t singing This Charming Man. He was going full phycho in the street, he was like ” Charlene, I’m sorry, why don’t you come on home ?, I’m worried ”, Charlene ?, is he mad ?, and he was like totally singing his own version of Johnny, Come Home by Fine Young Cannibals . I had no idea what was going on, after the incident at the concert, I haven’t seen him since . Russel was thinking ” What the bloody hell is going on here ?, why is there a man running in the street with a bouquet of flowers ” he just thought that it was just some tramp, who had a few pints at the pub and ended up Three sheets to the wind . { That’s just Cockney slang for drunk} . And Johnny was like standing there with his fist up in the air, he was like ” Ahhh, I’m gonna get you, ma ” and I was like ” Bloody hell ” .

So with that, Russel had the idea to run out of the building with Ron and to try and chase after him whilst singing . So that’s what he did, they just held hands and ran after him, Russel started singing Number One Song In Heaven and then my partner just disappeared into thin air . And because I met Russel, I fell in love with him and I never saw my partner again . But don’t worry, because he just applied for a job in the supermarket down the city, selling bananas for a couple a quid . Like he would do a dance and hold bananas in his hand, like ” Come and have a look, bananas for a pound, come on ladies, come on ladies, a pound for some bananas, you can’t go wrong . And I doubt that no one bought any off of him, poor sod, haha .

End of dream . Then I woke up that morning and realized that it was 2021 and Russel is a lot older and he is already married . It’s beyond me how I even had this dream, it’s so weird, I wasn’t even around in the 70s, and I’m 14 years old, how was I thirty five in the dream, it’s crazy, but there you go, that’s my dream .Russel is probably reading this, thinking ” What on earth ” and he’s probably thinking that some mad woman in her 50s, who just escaped Juvie and just learned how to use the internet is after him, haha . He probably thinks that he’s being catfished . Please let me know if this happens to you too, have you ever had a dream where you accidently gave birth at a concert, I can’t be the only one, surely . I don’t class them as dreams, they are more like fantasies and I just imagine these events in my head, but they are sort of like dreams, I just have weird ones, and my mum and dad wonder why I’ve been day dreaming, smiling and laughing during the night. That isn’t the only dream I’ve had, I’ve had many other ones too .

{Trigger warning, if you don’t like disturbing details, don’t read, mentions of a murderer ahead}

A few months ago, I had a dream, well it’s not a dream, it’s more like a nightmare because it was of a person kidnapping me in a shop . I Had a dream where I was kidnapped by Dennis Nilsen. If you don’t know who he is, Dennis Nilsen was a murderer in the 1980s in London, he was known for murdering many gay and young men back in the day and the police and the detectives found skin and chunks of meat in the drains and the pipes, yeah it’s quite grim . But um yeah, I had a dream where he kidnapped me in Primark . That was quite scary actually, I’m glad it was a dream, I was so relieved . But I’ll tell you that dream another day. I didn’t think I would be here, telling you guys about my weird dreams and fantasies, I don’t usually talk about this sort of stuff, I usually post about happy things like Music and films, but here I am, It’s beyond me how this even occured, it’s beyond me how this even ended up on a Sparks music post, but there you go . Let me know if you want me to share any of my traumatic and hilarious dream stories, maybe I’ll do another post very soon . But the thing is, I’m not ashamed about having  weird dreams and nightmares, because I can look back  and laugh at them and I can share them with my family and people are close to me . The reason why we have dreams is because we have a very active imagination and that’s an amazing quality, never be ashamed of that .

A few days ago, my sister had a Sparks related dream, In the dream, my sister was holding a Sparks record and she was just having a look at it . the record cover was all back and it had Russel and Ron on the front. It was one of their older albums like from the 70s . Then she was having a look at the back, and she saw that they did a cover of  Seven Nation Army by White Stripes She was like ” What, I never knew they did a cover of that song ”, and she played it on a record player and she could just hear Russel’s demented singing with the same rifs and everything . It was so weird . Now obviously, they never did a cover of Seven Nation Army, she noticed that after she had the dream. She just remembers being so confused . It’s so weird because it’s just one of those things where they might end up doing a cover of that song in the future . You never know, like you could end up dreaming about something and then suddenly, it becomes a real thing . But yeah no, she told us this dream and I was just laughing my head off . Just you wait until she hears about my Sparks dream, she’d bloody run a mile, haha . My dream is even more weird then her’s . I still can’t even believe I even had this dream, I’m beyond embarassed, cause it’s so weird . But yeah, that was my sister’s dream . Dreaming about finding out that Sparks did a cover of Seven Nation Army . I love Seven Nation Army, it’s such a great song, it’s so full of energy . It would have been so weird if Sparks did do their own version of that song, I’d be curious to see how they do it . My sister had some weird dreams . She’ll either dream about eating food and then her teeth falls out, which is very common one, or she either dreams about life . My ones are bloody demented . I once had a dream where I was a vampire, and I yanked a massive vampire tooth out of my mouth and I remember being terrified . But yeah, my dreams are really weird . My sister’s one was strange as well. I think every time you have a dream, it just won’t make sense, all nightmares and dreams are like that . There’s never been a time where I dream about something normal, which is bloody typical .

I also had another dream where 001 / Peter Ballard was involved . He was from Stranger Things season 4 . I know that he’s a villian and that we should hate him, but I love him . He’s one of my comfort characters, and the actor who plays him is amazing . I love Jamie Campbell Bower, he’s an amazing actor, he killed the role of 001 . It’s like how can you hate him, he’s so cute . But yeah, I had a dream where I was in the rainbow room, and he was walking around like a maniac, then suddenly, all the kids in the room were dressed like wizards and they started banging pots and pans and stuff like that, then there was an Indian version of Running Up That Hill playing really loudly by Kate Bush in the back round . I had no clue what was going on . A few minutes later, I had a nap. I wake up and then I see Dr Brenner wearing this beard and this turban, looking like Osho or like Bugwan or something, or like Kernal Gadaffi’s brother. I had no idea what this dream was. I think I watched the new season of stranger things and I had the dream, a few days later. The new season of Stranger Things is amazing, it was so brilliant but so dark and chaotic . Can’t wait for volume two, I already know it’s gonna be amazing . But yeah, I had a Stranger Things related dream, with about a hundred things going on in it. There’s Peter Ballard looking absolute demented and deranged, then there’s me getting shit scared because of Dr Brenner awaking me from my sleep, looking like some mad wizard looking bitch . Welcome to my life, haha . And then he was like ” I got you on a sleep, my child, I got you on a sleep ”, he said that in a Nigerian accent. It reminded me of the character Augustas Kwembe from the Tv show, Face Jacker, it was one of Kayvan Nokak’s demented, unhinged characters . It started off as a bit patient and gentle then it just went downright aggressive and it scared the shit out of me . And then at that moment in time, I was like ” Who the bloody hell is that ?”, and then I was like ” Oh for goodness sake, why am I in Hawkins again, I have no idea where my friends are, they’re all in bloody California, now I’m stuck in this place, like why can’t they come and get me before shit goes down ”, haha . Then, after that happened, Peter stood in the corner and he said ” Fear not, my child, I can show you the way, I can show you the way ”, and I was like ” What the fuck is going on ?, show me the way ?, I have no clue, show me the way, what way ?, haha . You’re only gonna lead me to Darkness. This dream was so weird, but it’s so funny at the same time . I just really love Peter Ballard, so I’m gonna keep having dreams about him . Here are some pictures of him because he’s amazing and he’s so cute .Spoiler},  Even though he was bloody Vecna and he killed everyone in the lab . But he’s my favourite villain so he deserves my appreciation . Like half of my photo gallery on my laptop is 88 % Peter Ballard, like you don’t even understand, it’s crazy . My laptop is full of photos of bands, celebrities, photos of actors and heartthrobs from the 80s and 90s, and then there’s like millions of photos of Mathew Baynton and JJ Field, 38 % Kate Bush and many more .

I also had a The Outsiders themed dream, I once had a dream where I got to stay at The Curtis house and I had another one where Sodapop Curtis saved me when I got jumped and he was like nurturing me and he like took me to his house and then he said to me that he would take me to prom . It was such a weird dream but it was so funny . I had a crush on the 80s Rob Lowe for so long, like I love him when he was younger, he’s about 50 something or 60 something now, but when he was about 19, , cause when I first discovered him, I completely fell in love and I couldn’t stop watching films that he was in, including The Outsiders, ST Elmo’s fire and I think he’s also in Class, Youngblood, Oxford Blues and About Last Night but I haven’t seen those ones yet, but I do love him in St Elmo’s fire, like him in that mullet, ughh, so cute, I usually despise mullets like I feel like they shouldn’t of made a come back but it only works on Rob Lowe, like only he can pull it off, for sure .  { And yes, this is gonna be a half an hour discussion on Rob Lowe in the 80s, so if you wanna know more, read on, but I will talk about some of my celebrity crushes on a different post, let me know if you want a poll on celebrity crushes and learn about my romance fantasy . If you do, I will do a write up on it . So stay tuned for more work on Big Blog Theory .

I watch a few Sparks related videos on You Tube, this is basically how I spend my free time, well half of the time, but um, I watch many videos, I watch some of their interviews, I keep getting the interviews in my recommended, which is just brilliant, I learn so much and I’m becoming an even bigger fan every day, I just find myself laughing and I also find myself smiling my head off, it just makes my day so much better . I like watching really old stuff from the archives, thank god for You Tube, am I right ?, It’s great that I can look back and watch old interviews from showbiz stars and artists, it’s so different from today’s stuff, it’s like a breath of fresh air . The 80s were more simpler times . Musicians back then actually enjoyed performing and being in music videos, like it’s genuine fun, it’s not put on in any way . But yeah so,  I watch that and then, the other day, I watched a short clip of Russel and Ron going shopping at Ray’s Superstore, I think it was featured on a tv show in the 90s, the quality was really bad but I don’t really care about that . The video was so weird but it was so cool at the same time, this is the sort of stuff I watch on You Tube, and I’m not ashamed of it . I also watch other stuff on You Tube as well, I watch exclusive interviews with the Stranger Things cast, cause they are just amazing human beings and it’s really interesting to hear their side of the story . I also watch a few The Outsiders videos, one of them was about the casting for the film, like Francis Ford Coppola was talking about the making of the film and the actors he chose to play certain roles, it was really interesting, The Outsiders is one of my most favorite films and it will always be, that’s for sure. I also watch The Outsiders instagram edits because they are so good, plus I have a crush on all of them, when they were in the 80s, including Ralph Macchio, Rob Lowe,  C Thomas Howell, Matt Dillon, Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise and Emilio Estevez, even though they are all old now, but who cares ?, I still like them, nothing’s gonna stop me from loving them .

I also watch Finn Wolfhard related videos, including edits of him, Because I love him and he’s one of my celebrity crushes, I mostly know him from Stranger Things but I heard that he’s in the latest Ghostbusters film, it’s called Ghostbusters Afterlife and I’m hoping to go and see it with my family, it looks really good . But I am obsessed with Finn, he’s so cute .

I also watch videos about writing, I also binge watch scenes from 80s movies, like I will watch some from The Breakfast Club, St Elmo’s Fire, The Outsiders, Footloose, The Karate Kid, Steel Magnolias, Grease and Grease 2, The Warriors, Flash Dance and many more.

Another thing I really love is watching Food mukbangs. A mukbang is where you tubers film themselves eating large portions of food whilst talking about their personal lives, I just find it cool and it always makes me feel hungry, I always have to get up and get a snack for it, I love them so much, I’m not really focused on them talking, I’m just interested in the food, haha . I also love watching 80s music videos, including live performances, I also love watching news compilation fails, because they are so funny, I also watch funny cat videos. I also watch videos about true crime, like I watched this documentary about Dennis Neilson and there was another one about Charles Sobraj, those documentaries are really interesting, I also watch 80s commercials, I watch tv show clips, I watch random scenes from This Country, The It Crowd, Stranger Things, Community, Kath And Kim, Friends and other scenes. I also watch vine compilations, I watch youtubers reacting to certain movies and Tv shows, song covers, I watch a lot of comedy stand up, I watch random clips from I’m A Celebrity Get Me Outta Here, because we pretty much watch it every year, I also watch random clips from The Apprentice, and many more . I also watch a bunch of other stuff but I’ll tell you another time .

I watch some of these other videos on You Tube, most of them have something to do with Sparks, but there’s this thing I watched, the video clip included Russel with some girl, I don’t know who she is, but he was like speaking French and I was like ” Wow it’s good but I don’t know what he’s saying ” like I don’t understand French, like what is he saying ?, like it was so cute but I didn’t understand, there were no subtitles or anything like that but it would of been easier if there was so if someone could translate it, that would mean a lot . Like Russel is so adorable, I think the video clip was around in the 80s or something, because of his hairstyle . Whoever is married to him, she is one lucky woman.

like he is such a gentleman, like I can never watch a live performance or a Sparks interview from the 70s and 80s, without getting butterflies in my stomach, he’s just so cute and his voice is amazing . He’s just perfect. I know that being perfect doesn’t exist, but when it comes to Russel Mael, it does exist because he’s just amazing and perfect in every single way .

There was this bit in the documentary where this woman was talking about how she had a crush on Russel back in the day, I can’t remember what her name was, but she was reflecting on the time where Russel was being ambushed by a bunch of girls and boys when they performed in Croydon, in 1975 and it just all went pear shaped . It must have been so weird looking back some old footage of you back in the day and seeing you try to take a man down whilst he’s performing . It was just so funny . So yeah, she just went for it and you can see all the chaos unravel. Then a few years later, Sparks released an album which was called Tips For Teens, then after that, they released another album which was called Angst In My Pants . What a bloody coincidence, haha. To be honest, neither of those things were associated with the incident in Croydon, I have no idea what they were associated with, but I can tell you now, that both of those album titles didn’t have anything to do with that, I’m just joking . But yeah, both of those album titles and the incident in Croydon, all because of some angsty teens, haha, typical . But yeah no, both of those album concepts are absolutely brilliant, love them .

Looking back at it a few years later, she must be so embarassed, but it’s just one of those things I guess, when we are young, we are just crazy and we are so wild and we just look back at our teenage years and we just think ” Wow, I was a wild one, I was nuts ” haha, I guess some people just push their boundries sometimes haha. Us teenagers have a lot of angst, we are angsty, and we refuse to listen to those who experienced their lives before us, we just dis regard adults, us teenagers can be tricky sometimes, like I can be like that sometimes too, I just feel like all the adults that grew up before me, experienced different generations and just because they grew up in a different generation, that they had it different, that they had it easier, but every generation had it’s sufferings, like sometimes, I’m in a bad mood and I get angry over silly things, like I get angry and I take it out on family members, especially my mum, it’s like ” Oh, you got to experience living in the 80s, it’s not fair, I don’t want to grow up in this shitty generation ” just because of the pop culture and the music, the films and the fashion from that time, and then I look at the stuff we have nowadays, it’s not great, but from what I learned, is that just because the pop culture in the 80s was great, it doesn’t mean that the world was in a stable place at the time. It was quite grim in 1980s London. There was a money loss in the economy, many people lost their jobs and were unable to work, LGBT oppression was strong, there was a lot of stigma against gay people, there was a lot of poverty, there were riots happening right across London, Margret Thatcher was the most active in parliament, there was the Aids crisis, many people died from the disease, there was a lot of uncertainty, like you think that the Corona virus is bad. There was also a lot of racism and sexism at the time too . It’s not as bad as it used to be, but we still have a long way to go.  So sometimes, you just have to look around you and appreciate the generation that you are growing up in, it may be hard at the moment, but better times to come, we can always go back and watch 80s films and listen to 80s music now, you don’t need to be a teen from the 80s in order to do that. I do know that 2021 was a not so great time to grow up in, but you just gotta keep positive and keep yourself occupied, you can listen to music, watch great films, interact with those who you love and just live your life to the fullest. but I just feel like it’s just a teen thing, it may seem silly, but it’s probably the same for millions of teenagers right now. If you’re feeling the same as I do sometimes, I just want to let you know that you are loved, even if I don’t know you, personally, but I love you, everything is gonna be okay, I know that times are hard right now, but it’ll get better, I promise . If you’re not feeling your best, you are always welcome to go and have a look at my blog, it will always be up here for you to enjoy . I think the best part about being a teenager is that you’re changing, and you experience many changes, you learn new things, you try new things, and you start finding out about yourself, like you can read books, you can watch stuff, you can listen to music and you find out about yourself and the things you love . You can try hundreds of things until something clicks and you’re like ” Wow, hold on a second, this is me, I kinda like this ” and you keep doing that sort of thing until you find something that feels like you . So it’s a time where you are exploring your identity, you’re finding out about yourself and then you will flourish, into an amazing young man / woman . { Even if you’re any other gender, the same applies to you}

Career paths are another thing . If I had to pick a career path, it would either be a business woman or a writer . Cause I wanna be a writer when I grow up, I love writing stories, scripts and poems in my free time, but I also wanna set up a business of my own . I know that I’m just a kid and I would just go through hundreds of phases and be like ” I wanna do this ” ” This isn’t great, I wanna do this ” ” Oh but how about this ?” like I would just keep going in between and I just wouldn’t know what I want out of life, so I’ll just give it some time, until I’m an adult, at least . But yeah, I really wanna be a writer, but having my own business sounds really cool too . I used to have my own slime business back at my old primary school, slime was the craze and the trend of that time, every body had some and I thought that it would be fun if I started selling slime . Obviously, it wasn’t during the lessons, because the teacher had banned slime, before hand, so I had to wait until school had finished in order to sell the slime to certain pupils in the class . It was fun while it lasted . Nobody really plays with slime anymore, but it gave me hope for the future . I would either be an entrepreneur or a writer . There was a stage in my life where I wanted to be a performer or an artist, and I still do, I wanna be a performer, cause I love dancing, acting and singing, I would always put on acts to entertain family members, so being a performer would be a great career, but the thing is is that my dad doesn’t want me to be an artist or a performer, because he says that performing and singing is a hobby, he wants me to be a business woman instead, But I don’t have a problem with wanting to be a business woman, I’m not doubting my dad for what he tells me, because he just knows what’s best for me and he doesn’t want me to fall under the radar . Telling everyone that I wanna be a performer or a artist, they’ll think I’m taking the mick, they will think I’m nuts . Even though it’s something that really enjoy doing . When really they should be rooting for me, instead of trying to bring me down . But I’m not angry at anyone, it’s up to them what they think . I’m gonna listen to my heart and do what I wanna do, cause that’s what life is about, at the end of the day . It’s never to late to start . You could be young, you can be old, it’s never to late to follow your dreams . Some people say that your dreams die when you get to the age of thirty . And that is absolute nonsense, you can never be too old or too young to follow your dreams, you can be any age, you can be fifty and still be able to follow your dreams . Don’t let anyone tell you what to do, don’t let anyone figure out your future for you, it’s your life, your life, your rules . Don’t let anyone define you, because it’s your life at the end of the day . Nothing is impossible, I learnt that all sorts of things can happen . I thought everything was impossible for me, but if you keep believing and work hard, you can make it happen . I don’t know anything about life, because I’m just starting it myself, I’ve got a long road ahead of me. But I’m just pin pointing a few things . These things will make you feel better about life and give you a totally different mindset . My lesson for you is that you wanna do something that will impact your future, you go and do it now, the time is now, there’s no tomorrow, there’s no the next day, if you wanna do something, I advise you to get up and do it now . Get off your social media and use your time for more important things . Being on social media is just time wasting, you have a very bright future ahead of you. Everyone benefits off of not using social media . You are less overwelmed, you get things done quicker, and you can just live in the moment . There’s so much to explore out there, it’s a whole new world . So get off your phones, and put on your trainers, the outside world is waiting for you .

but I really wanna be a performer when I grow up, but it’s very hard to follow your dreams and believe in yourself . So I’m just gonna do my thing and see wherever the wind takes me . I’ve always loved singing and dancing but I just know that I am terrible at both of those things, but I keep trying to believe in myself . Being a business woman is good as well, but being an artist would be even better, because I love dancing, but everyone just sees it as some sort of a hobby, but they really don’t see where I’m coming from, if I tell someone that I wanna be a performer when I grow up, they’re gonna think I’m taking the piss, they don’t see me as a performer at all, they’ll just look at me and say ” What, you, a dancer ?, hah, you’re having a laugh, ain’t ya ?” and they just want me to do some other thing instead .  I want to meet new people, explore, try new things, face my fears, go on tour with a bunch of famous people, do things that I couldn’t do when I was younger . I feel like it wouldn’t be the same if you were a business person, maybe I’m wrong though, but I feel like if it’s something that I enjoy doing and if it’s something that I strive to do, then maybe I should go for it . Every time I see an artist dance on stage, I get totally transfixed and I just stare at the screen, there’s like a sparkle in my eyes and I’m like ” I can do that ” but sometimes I feel like there’s barrier there, that maybe I can do that, but everyone else is making me feel like I can’t . That’s why I treat dancing, singing and acting as a hobby, it’s because no one takes me seriously when I say that .

Life can be interesting sometimes, you’ll never know what will happen . You can strive to have a certain career and then the next day, it might happen . But achieving your dreams is a lot of hard work, it takes a lot of dedication, it takes a lot of hard work, takes a lot of focus and you just have to keep trying and trying until you get to where you wanna be . You can be anything you want to be, if you just believe, you’ll get there . If you’re taking the same approach and if you’re thinking of being an artist, I believe in you, you can do this, jump high and reach for your dreams . Instead of dreaming and thinking about it, why don’t you just do it today, because you can’t always be too certain about tomorrow, if you really wanna do something in life, do it now . So yeah, being a performer and an artist is my dream job .

I’m not gonna jump to conclusion so fast, because when I get older, I will probably change my mind, so , I wanna enjoy my teenager years, be a kid and then, when I’m older, I’m gonna start thinking about what I’m gonna do . That’s usually how it works . Some are born with natural instinct, but the others, they take a bit of time to think about what they wanna do in life . There really shouldn’t be any pressure, kids should be allowed to be kids . They have their whole lives ahead of them .

There was a stage in my life where I wanted to be in Cobra Kai . I was a big fan of it, since the first season came out . I was completely fascinated in the fighting choreography and the characters and the personality traits, I was amazed at what I was seeing . I’ve always wanted to be in Cobra Kai, even though it wasn’t possible in any way, it wasn’t possible for a number of reasons, one of which is I’m not that good at fighting, I’m not flexible, I can probably throw a few punches but other then that, I can’t do shit . I’m not too sure if I want to be in the show anymore, it was only there for a short amount of time . But I wanted to be in that show so bad . It’s not possible for me to be in that show anyway, because first of all, I’m not a paid actress, I have never been on tv, I don’t have an acting career, so like what the heck, it’s not possible . But when you’re a kid, you go through tons and tons of phases .

Being a teenager is the best stage in life . Our teenage years are the best years, without a doubt. You can have so much fun as a teenager, with less responsibility and you can just do something, without a worry in the world . So for some, being a teenager is fun and it’s the best stage in their lives . But for some, it’s not . There are many teenagers who are struggling at the moment . Whether they are struggling with their mental health, or they are having a tough time with stuff going on in their families, or that they have to be part time carers, whether they have to look after sick family members and relatives, which I get is very hard . Instead of living your life as a teenager, going out and having fun with friends, you are stuck in doors, caring for your family members, it must be tough, it can have a massive toll on you . But let me tell you something. For those of you who are young carers, especially young adults who are about 16 or even younger, who are having to look after certain members of your family, I just wanna let you know that you’re doing an amazing job, never stop being an amazing human being, you’re making a huge difference in the world . If you put good out in the world, the good will come to you, always remember that . Never stop being the amazing person you are today . I hope this helps . My hugs go out to you.

My experiences on being a 14 year old teenager

But yeah, getting old is scary. As we turn into teenagers, we experience new things. We develop obsessions, we learn new things, we go through new phases and we live to see the younger ones getting older, whilst you are getting older yourself . One of my obsessions as a teenager, is the film, The Breakfast Club . The Breakfast Club is film from the 80s, it’s about these five teenagers who are in detention . I’m obsessed with that film, my favorite characters are Claire, Bender and Alisson . And because my favorite is Allison, I like to style my hair the same way as her . That is pretty much my whole childhood, making myself look like Ally Sheedy from The Breakfast Club . I’m also obsessed with Molly Ringwald, I bloody love her, she’s the queen of the 80s, she’s in like almost every John Hughes film, so when I watched the film, I wanted to dance like her, so I spent ages, trying to master the dance move, I call it The Molly Ringwald, haha . But yeah, I’m still experiencing new things from time to time . I’m 14 now, so god knows what I will go through when I’m 15 . Which I will be 15 next month, so yay, getting older, fun times . But yeah, this is what I like to do in my free time, I like to master Ally Sheedy and Molly Ringwald’s style . My hair is very different compared to Ally Sheedy and Molly Ringwald’s . I have short brown hair, I have my hair up for most of the time, but I have brown hair, it’s styled very differently compared to Ally Sheedy, but it’s close enough . And the second thing is that I’m not a red head, so I just go with Ally Sheedy’s hairstyle and style, even though I’m not a goth, nor am I emo, I’m neither of those things, but it’s very similiar, in that sense . It’s still good though, it’s a lot of fun and like I’m always pretending like I’m the main character in an 80s movie, like sometimes I have to remind myself that I’m not Andie in Pretty In Pink, haha  . Sometimes, I go with a really tom boy look, a look that I go with most of the time, and sometimes, if I’m feeling pretty, I will style my hair, I will paint my nails bright pink, I will wear light pink clothing, but that’s only sometimes . So yeah, now you know about my fun little things I like to do . I’m sort of like a tom boy, I like sports, I like rock music, I like crime included films, but also, I’m a girly girl, cause I like shopping, I like painting my nails and I like sparkly things and stuff like that, so I’m a bit of both. It’s hard to choose in between the two . Ever since I watched Flashdance, I have been loving dance so much, it just made me wanna get up and have a bit of fun, I would just put on some music and just dance and sing my heart out, I love Flashdance, it’s a great film . Tomorrow, my sister, my dad and my brother are gonna go to the cinema to do some late night Kung Fu event, they’re gonna watch the Prodigal Son, but I can’t go, soley because it’s an 18, so whilst they are out doing that, me and my mum are gonna have a girly night in and we’re watch The Breakfast Club, it’s gonna be fun because my mum said that she hasn’t seen The Breakfast Club in a long time, since the 80s and she barely remembers it, so we’re gonna watch it together, I’m so excited, we don’t usually do stuff like this very often, so it would be some nice bonding, mother, daughter bonding time . I have the DVD, so yeah, it’s gonna be really exciting .

Claire’s strange talent

In the film, Molly Ringwald’s character opens up to the rest of the group and shows off her secret hidden talent . Her talent is applying lip gloss in a very un lady like way, she puts it in her breasts and from then on, she has lip gloss on her lips, it was very weird, you can really tell that Bender wasn’t satisfied with that, he was like ” What the hell is this girl doing ?” haha . But yeah, so I watched that scene and I was passionate in trying it myself, so I got hold of this tube of lip gloss that I had, randomly lying around in my room and I tried to do it and here’s what happened . I totally forgot that the lip gloss was in my crop top and I tried to do it, then the tube of lip gloss just whacked me in the face and I almost flew back wards, no just joking, I didn’t even do it in the first place, when I did it, I forgot I even had it on me and I was like ” Forget this, what a waste of time ?” and I just left it and went about my day . Don’t be fooled by what happens in films, the out come is never really same . But yeah there you go, I look back at it and I realize how dumb it was for me to do that . So another thing that I’m gonna tell my grand kids, is that I used to try and apply lip gloss without hands, haha, because why not ?, haha .

{ This is Ally Sheedy, by the way, just in case you get mixed up}

Now that I have shared what my teenage years are like, I’m gonna share some of my tips for teens . Now, I am not an expert, cause I’m still going through my teenage years myself, but I have learned a few things along the way. So ladies and gentlemen, here are just some of my tips for teens, shared by yours truly, you know the drill . Tips For Teens, Tips For Teens, these are definetely the kinds you won’t see in magazines . { Haha, see what I did there}

Ok so, I think being a teenager can sometimes be scary, but it can also be really fun, because you get to do the things that you weren’t allowed to do when you were a little kid, such as, watch shows that are rated 15, you get to watch films that are rated 15, but only if you are 15, obviously, otherwise, you would have to have parental guidance and adult supervision . Plus, when you are older, you get to be a role model to the younger ones, like I am a role model to my little cousin, she’s only 4 and I get to teach her stuff that will become useful in her future . You get to also wear makeup, like when I’m older, I can’t wait to follow makeup tutorials on You Tube, like I can only wear nail polish at the moment, but it’s still good though . So I guess, when someone adapts to their teenage years, they get to experience new things, they get to go on a journey and you get to be silly and when you’re like in your 70s or your 80s, you will wish that you could be 18 again . It’s happened before . Because you’re not able to dance like you used to, you can’t run and you can’t be active without getting back pain, haha . But that’s life, I guess, you just have to live in the moment and appreciate what’s around you . But if I was that age and if I had some advice to share with my younger self, I would just say ” Don’t take things too seriously, don’t over think everything, just have fun, don’t take anything for granted, life is a gift ”so yeah . Those are some words to live by . Teenagers can be really angsty sometimes . Like some don’t respect their elders . We all have angst in our pants . But when you think you’ve made it disappear, you’re sure you’ve made it disappear, and you’ve still got angst in your pants, haha . { Ok, I’m gonna stop it with the puns}

If I had anything to say to teens nowadays, is just enjoy being a teenager, enjoy being young, have fun while you still can, because it’s a time that you will never get back . The second thing is, look forward to your future, make some plans, pan out what you wanna do, stop dreaming, because dreaming isn’t gonna get you anywhere, is it ?, you have to stop dreaming, you have to think about what you wanna do in life, you have to set your goals and make it happen, reach for your dreams, or in the words of Irene Cara, ” Take your passion, and make it happen ”, the same thing goes for career and jobs, you have to reach for your dreams, you have to work hard for whatever it is that you wanna do . Another thing is loving yourself . Loving yourself is key. If you love yourself, anything is possible, you feel like you are capable of doing anything and you have the whole world in your hands and you can accomplish anything, but it can be hard to do that because of insecurities, insecurities can get in the way of loving ourselves, you may feel insecure about your body image, your weight, your facial structure, your looks, your appearance, everything . Now, I’m just gonna say it right now, looks don’t matter . Looks don’t mean a thing . The thing about looks, is that, yes, they can make you look pretty but looks can’t tell what personality you have . You can be beautiful and pretty and look like a million pounds, but inside, you can be a very shitty person . So really, looks don’t matter, it’s what’s inside that counts . So don’t spend all your time, worrying about how you look and focus more on what’s going on inside of you . I don’t have the audacity to walk up to someone and say that they are ugly to their face, I can never do that, I would feel ashamed of myself, if anything, I would be saying that they look pretty and I would compliment them, because that’s what any normal person would do . I don’t care about what gender you are, I don’t care about what sexuality you have, I don’t care about what your race is, if you’re nice to me, I’ll be nice to you, because that’s how humanity is supposed to work, that is the reality of it . Teenagers nowadays have many more worries then they used to, back in the day, that is obviously because of social media . On social media, you’re not allowed to have your say, because you might get canceled by the woke brigade, it’s taking away our rights for free speech . Kids mental health is deteriorating, kids are overwhelmed, all because of social media . I think we are all better off without it, am I right ?. Then we could all live our lives properly, we can get on with the things that are most important to us, such as family and other things too . It’s way better then scrolling through Tick Toks and scrolling through posts on Instagram and Facebook . It is very hard to stay positive during these trying times . But staying positive is very important, if we look at the good sides of things, we would be much healthier and happier . There is a light at the end of the tunnel, we just need to keep pushing and pushing, in order to get there . There are better days to come, I promise, you just gotta keep your head up . One of the things that I do in order to keep positive is listen to music, because it does wonders for me, but I don’t wanna be naive and expect that it’s gonna have the same effect on everybody else, different things work different people, and that’s the reality . But if there’s anyone out there, who is having a tough time right now, I just wanna know that I am here for you, everything’s gonna be alright, I know it’s hard, but it’ll get better . Sending hugs your way .

But yeah I think we should all look forward to our futures, the future is so exciting. There’s gonna be like aliens and space invaders flying everywhere, we’ll have black holes, sucking out the Earth in one, we will all be living in green houses, since real houses won’t exist, like can you imagine, can you imagine living in a green house, every morning and every night. Waking up to see the sun rise really early in the morning, waking up to see that you have a bonsai tree on your chest and you have a stalk of tomatoes, hanging out of your mouth and you’ll just be like ” What the hell is this shit ?” . And the singers of the modern generation won’t have microphones, instead, they’ll have to sing into the other end of the broom stick, like we all know what’s in store for all the Elvis impersonators, they’ll just be up on the stage, singing into a wooden stick and everyone will be clueless and then a few minutes later, the Elvis impersonator is sectioned and put into an asylum . Ah yes, the future is exciting, haha . { Just for clarification, none of this real, we’re not gonna live in green houses and sing into broom sticks in the future, it’s just a joke}

Some teenagers are tough cookies to crack, we are hard wired. Like we just want to achieve stuff by our selves, without any help from those who are close to us, but I think we should listen to adults, and be open minded and be open to trying new things, because after all, they know what’s best for us and you know, life is one big adventure and we can look forward to the future . There will be stories to tell our future grand children, I know that not everyone wants to have children and that’s ok, but when I’m older, I’m gonna tell my grand children all the stories about me being teenager, all the fun times I had growing up, and maybe just all about the chaos in 2020, haha . But yeah no, growing up is kinda fun, because you experience new things, you can grow older with the ones you love, I’m just being positive here, I don’t wanna be that one person who drags everything down and just spreads a lot of negativaty . I have done a lot of crazy stuff as a teenager . And when I get older then that’s a different story . But yeah, so far, so good . As a teenager, we have lots of fun and you still can, when the pandemic is over, life can go back to normal, we can live life to the fullest, but for the mean time, we have to just focus on our health, as long as everyone is happy and healthy, then that’s all what matters . When I’m about 80 or something, I’m gonna tell one of my grand kids that I was obsessed with Molly Ringwald and I had a crush on 80s Rob Lowe and Finn Wolfhard and cried all night, just because I couldn’t marry Ponyboy from The Outsiders, I would remember that I was a crazy teen, I was obsessed with The Bangles and the band, The Blossoms and that I was obsessed with Sparks, that I was also obsessed with The Killers, that I really liked the band, Calpurnia and all the stories about me, going all crazy over Matt Dillon in The Outsiders, that I used to wear five bangles on my wrist at once, that I could blow really big bubbles with bubble bum, that I used to always to go and eat candy floss, when I used to be obsessed with slime, then I’ll look into my teenage years and remember when I wanted to be Eleven from Stranger Things, like I wanted to be her so bad, like Eleven from season 3, Stranger Things was like the hit show of that time and I wanted to have the same powers as her, when I used to be obsessed with Frenchie from Grease, like I just loved her so much, she was the most likable out of all the pink ladies,, When I used to be obsessed with icons like Marylin Monroe and Audrey Hepburn, when I used to renact scenes from The Breakfast Club for fun, that I used to be obsessed with The Breakfast Club, that I used to be obsessed with Tv shows, such as Friends, This Country, People Just Do Nothing, The IT Crowd, Kim’s Convenience, Stranger Things, Stath Lets Flats and What We Do In The Shadows, Saved By The Bell, Fame, Sister Sister and The Thick Of It, Cobra Kai, Minder, Catweazle, Regular Show, Top Gear and The Great British Bake Off .and I would tell them that I was obsessed with teen films, such as Mean Girls, The Breakfast Club, A Cinderella Story, Legally Blonde 1 and 2, Napoleon Dynamite, Clueless, California Man, Pretty In Pink, St Elmo’s Fire and that I was obsessed with rom coms, such as My Best Friend’s Wedding, Notting Hill, Dirty Dancing, The Perfect Man, Ghost and So I Married An Axe Murderer, To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before and Mickey Blue Eyes, and when my kids are older, I will show them Stranger Things, it’s pure 80s nostalgia .

So leaping onto a stage is going a bit too far, like it’s sort of a space invasion and an invasion of privacy .But yeah no, I can totally relate, I have never did anything crazy like that before, but bloody hell, can you imagine ?, if I was a concert, watching someone who I absolutely adore, perform live, I would like jump off a balcony or something, then everyone would like run a mile, haha, so I don’t do that, but every time I spot someone famous in the street or in some place, I just start panicking and I just lose it, I start blushing and I’m just out of control and then my dad is like ” Rah, Christina, why is your face red, it’s probably the cold ” and I am like ” Really ?, does the wind and the air circulation make your face red ?” and I’m just like ” Hehh hehh hehh, can we go home now ?” so yeah, but I just pretend to just go about my day, but when I go home, I like scream into my pillow . Life is so weird, haha, you never know what might happen . Like when I’m out, I sometimes hear people singing in alleyways, like there was this one guy who started singing Don’t You Want Me by Human League and he was right behind us and I just heard this voice and I was like ” What the hell is going on ?” and I just started laughing and I couldn’t stop . That sounded like a different version of the song, it did not sound like it was by Human League, it was like some techno, R and B version, it’s almost like some alchoholic pest version, like it was like ” Rehhhh, Rehhhh, don’t you want me, baby, don’t you want me, ohhh ” and then it just goes on repeat and I was joking around with my dad and he said that they pay that man a couple of quid to promote Human League and their music, haha . The thing is is that when you get people singing in the street, they always can’t sing, and the ones that can sing, they just won’t sing, you get the ones who can’t sing a single note, haha.  But that wasn’t the only weird thing that happened, there was this other thing that happened on the same day, where I was out on a walk with my parents and suddenly, this cat jumped out of a bush and almost hit me in the face, I seriously had no idea what happened, and this happened a few minutes after we found some guy singing in the same alleyway as us, and I was joking around with my dad, and I told my dad that they pay that cat to re create a scene from Friday The 13th, like it’s that scene where the lady opens the fridge and a head falls out and then someone chucks a cat through the window, it was utterly terrifying, but the cat scared the shit out of me, it was such a weird day, like wow . But I love cats so it was absolutely fine but so funny . Like I bring it up every once in a while . And also, once when I was with my family and we were taking my brother to work and I thought I saw Daniel Craig, standing at a bus stop, but it’s like, I don’t even know if it was him or I was just seeing things, like from the corner of my eye, it looked like him, but if you think about it, yeah, why would Daniel Craig use a bus if he’s getting paid a lot of money from acting in films, like he’s getting payed a massive whopper amount of money, acting in the James Bond films, so why would he be at a bus stop, but he was like standing there, holding a briefcase and I was like ” What on earth ?” . How would I know that it’s him, for all I know, he could be a tramp, you know ?, sometimes my eyes decieve me . Then the next day, I went back to school and told a bunch of my friends with confidence, I told them that I almost met Daniel Craig, my friends didn’t know who he was, so I was alone on that one, but I told my helper, who helped out with the class and I was like ” Oh my god, I saw Daniel Craig at the bus stop, ya’ll ” and she was like ” Oh really ?, did you, yeah ?” like she was nodding her head, she had a smile on her face, I highly doubt that she knew what I was on about, she probably thought that I was crazy or something, but yeah, I did some crazy shit when I was younger . One time we did a lesson at my primary school and what we had to do, was choose a famous person and do some research about them. And I chose Daniel Craig and my friend chose Beyonce, but we were partners so we had to do the same person, I could just see the sheer disappointment as my friend rubs out Beyonce’s name, meaning she had to do a assignment on Daniel Craig as well . So for the entire lesson, I was just looking at some photos of him and my friend was just pissed off . I would just be staring at the photos, screaming and just freaking out and laughing, whilst my friend is just looking at me, thinking ” What are you getting at, mate ?”. I would just look at photos of Daniel Craig and Mathew Baynton through the entire lesson, cause I had a huge crush on Mathew Baynton, that was the time when I first discovered Horrible Histories and honestly, it made me love history, it’s either that or Yonderland, but I didn’t even know what it was at that time, but honestly, both of those shows just bring me so much joy, Horrible Histories and Yonderland just got me through some tough times, I’m so glad they exist, I love them so much, I’m just going back and binge watching all the episodes of Horrible Histories and Yonderland, I haven’t had that much fun in my life, binge watching Horrible Histories and Yonderland is like the best thing ever, cause you get to experience all those feelings at once, I love the Horrible Histories cast, the six idiots are just amazing, I love Ben Willbond, I love Laurence Rickard, I love Jim Howick, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe Douglas and of course, you know, I really love Mathew Baynton, I’m just in love with him, he’s amazing, I’ve had a crush on him ever since I watched Horrible Histories, I have this photo of him as Elagabalus from Horrible Histories as a screensaver for my laptop. I’ve fallen in love with his work. My mind is just constantly doing the Pachacuti, I just realized I watch too much Horrible Histories, haha . I love Pachicuti. It’s one of my favourite Horrible Histories songs, I love it, I dance to it all the time . Mainly because Mathew sounds drunk in it, and the energy that that song creates is brilliant  . It’s singing about horrible things but that’s why it’s called Horrible Histories. I also love the Charles the 2nd song as well. I’m obsessed with that song . I know all the lyrics off by heart . I was watching Horrible Histories, the other day, and the Charles the second song came on, and I was like vibing and singing the whole time, I just love Horrible Histories . Every time the Historical Fashion Fix sketch comes on, I’m like ” Yessss, it’s Historical Fashion Fix, Oh my god, yayyy, come on ”, and I yell, because I just love those ones so much. Mathew Baynton’s character is so sassy in those sketches . I freak out every time Historical Fashion Fix comes on, and then my parents are wondering what on earth is going on, haha. I just love Mathew Baynton with all my heart . He’s wonderful .

he’s just so adorable, every time he appears on screen, I just scream and I get butterflies in my stomach, he’s just amazing, I really want to meet him some day . When I’m older, I really want to be a writer or a director, so I really want Mathew Baynton to be in one of my films and TV shows, cause I just love him so much, working with him would be a dream come true, I want Mathew Baynton and JJ Field to be in one film together, I know that they were in Telstar, Telstar has one of my most favourite casts ever, another one of my favourite films, all my favourite actors in one film, like Con O Neil is in it, I didn’t actually know about him until I watched that film, I have to say, he’s an amazing actor, really smashed the role of the legendary Joe Meek, I’m going to watch more of his stuff, for sure. Telstar really introduced me to some amazing actors . But if I end up directing a film one day, I want JJ Field and Mathew Baynton to be in it, cause they are just both amazing, they are great actors and just overall, just amazing human beings .

. I still don’t know why Daniel Craig came to mind, if I knew who he was at the time, I would have done a assignment of Joe Meek, cause now, I’m facinated in that subject, but I ended up choosing Daniel Craig instead, I think I would have chose Roger Moore as well, but I didn’t, I wish I did though .  If we were allowed to do a write up on a band, I would have done a write up on Sparks as well, but I didn’t really know about them at that time . I just knew Russel as some demented mad man in a pink jacket and Ron, as he who shall not be named, Hitler looking man, but yeah, I would have done a write up on Sparks. If I could go back in time and change one thing, I would probably do a write up on Sparks, I know more about them now then I did a few years ago, so I would definetely do one on Sparks . I would have done Joe Meek, Roger Moore, Sparks, Mathew Baynton and so many more, but I chose Daniel Craig. I literally have no idea why, I think it’s because me and my dad were watching all the new James Bond films from the first to the very last and that was the only famous person who came to mind . It’s still good though, to be honest, I’m glad that I stood out from everyone else in my school .

But yeah, I had a knowledge of different things when I was in school, I had different interests, my friends didn’t even know who any of them were at the time . So I felt like I got on more with the adults more then the kids, since they knew a lot of adult stuff . Every time we had maths, my helper would take me out of class for a lesson and what we used to do, was we would do some maths and then I would start talking about 80s music and celebrity crushes . I would just completely de rail the maths lesson and start talking about music and film . It was so much fun . We would spent ages talking about 80s Nick Heywood and The Specials and other things . I would do this all the time. It’s one of my favourite memories from my old school . I used to do so many weird and hilarious things when I was at my primary school . I liked loads of weird stuff when I was in school . I watched different films, I watched different TV shows, I listened to different music, I knew loads of actors, actresses and comedians. When my friends were talking about films, they were raving about new Disney films, whilst I was raving about old films from the 70s and 80s, like James Bond films and romantic comedies . Everyone was talking about singers like Beyonce, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift, whilst I was talking about 80s bands and 70s bands, like The Cure, The Smiths, Spandau Ballet, The Human League, Haircut 100, Thin Lizzy, Sparks, Abba, T Rex, The Stone Roses and all those bands . So really, I think I had different taste compared to the rest of my friends . Which is totally cool, because it’s good to stand out, you don’t wanna follow the herd, you go your own way, if you go your own way, you’ll always be okay in life .

Then another time, I thought I saw Larry David from Curb Your Enthusiasm, yeah ? and I was adament that it was him, but then I told my dad and he said ” Oh no, that’s not Larry David, that’s just some Turkish man, I sometimes see him walking down here ” and I was like ” Dad, what the hell ?” but yeah that was weird, these things happen all the time . Then there was this other time where we were on a bus, going down Soho and then I thought that I saw Jamie Dementriou, Jamie Dementriou is a comedian / actor, he was known for being in Fleabag and Stath Lets Flats, Stath Let’s Flats is my all time favorite tv show, it’s about these letting agents, it’s really funny .  So yeah, there was this guy who looked like him, sitting opposite us and he literally looked at us and I was like jabbing my fingers on my dad’s shoulder and I was like ” It’s Jamie Dementriou, it’s really him ” and my dad was like ” What ?” so we were on our way to Primark and when we got there, I told my sister that he was on the bus but she was in disbelief . I feel like it was him, I knew it was him, but my mum was like ” Nahh, that can’t be him, his facial structure is probably different, so I was like ” Nah ” I still believed that it was him . Then I went home and I was like kicking myself . I should of just got up from my seat and said something to him . That was weird, I remember him like coming onto the bus and looking at me, he had his headphones on, he probably lives somewhere near Soho or like he was probably taking part in some event . But I felt like, if it wasn’t him, it would just be awkward and I would be talking and asking for a photo from a complete stranger, so just in case, I didn’t do anything, but at the time, I felt like getting up and saying something to him . So yeah, that was a weird time . But like when something like that happens, you have to cease the day and just go for it, because the opportunity will fade away , so that’s one thing I learned . Jamie Dementriou and his sister, Natasia Dementriou are icons, I loved her in What We Do In The Shadows, she was really funny . You should go and check it out, it’s really good .

The Sparks brothers generally just look like such humble, friendly people, they look so fun to work with . Going on tour with them would be like the best thing ever, they would have so many stories to tell, going on tour with them would be my dream, man, I just know that it wouldn’t happen, but in my dreams, anyway, like it won’t happen, because they don’t take fans with them on tour, only musicians, people who can sing, cause I can’t sing a bloody note, I can’t really dance or anything like that, but maybe it can work, I can do like a dance across the stage and make everyone laugh their heads off, but nah, that’s a terrible idea, cause I would be running across the stage, everybody would be wondering if it is a closed set, I would be dancing with a tamborine and half of the crowd would just thinking ” Who on earth is this girl ?” .  But yeah, they look like such amazing, chilled people . If I was to go on tour with them, it would be the most amazing in the world, their music means a lot to me, it got me through so much. I have so many questions to ask them, you don’t understand the half of it . But yeah, they are just amazing . I will continue to be a fan, right up until my adult years, I will never stop being a fan .

I’ve always wanted to be in Sparks . I know this just sounds strange, but I’m just gonna say it now, I’ve always wanted to be in Sparks . I don’t know why, but I have always just had the admiration for it . I have been wanting to be in the group for the longest that I can remember . Well not that long, because I became a fan right after I watched the documentary, cause I discovered their music one year ago . And I am just fascinated in their work, like I just love what they do, I love their music videos. I have just always been fascinated in their stuff . I just wanna work with them . But I’m so scared, because it can be really easy to ruin something . It’s very simple to bring something down and tear into shreds, it’s very easy to ruin someone’s else’s work .  A lot of people just get famous and get into the spotlight for having no talent, like they can start singing and it would sound like a drowning rat, getting non talented people famous would be the last thing you’d wanna do . Like if I was to go there and make music with them, I would have to be very careful. It’s the same with film franchises . When someone does a film remake, it takes the piss out of the original . I don’t even know why people make remakes, what’s the point of doing a remake if the original was a success, that has been something that really bothers me, don’t touch remakes, leave the original as it is . So I’m terrified that I will ruin Sparks, I want them to carry on making music, hopefully for a few more years, so I don’t wanna do anything that will completely muck it up . All though, it would mean a lot if I could work with them, they look like amazing people to work with. If I can be a part of Sparks, it will be the best thing that has ever happened to me, it would be a story that I could share with my grand children one day, it would be the best thing ever . After seeing Jane Wiedlin perform with Sparks, it made me think loads of thoughts at once . I just loved seeing Jane perform on stage, alongside with Russel, she was rocking it and she was killing it up there, and I look at her and I’m like, ” That’s gonna be me. one day ” ” I’m gonna be just like her”, I aspire to be like her, she is incredible, she is really talented . Being in Sparks will be amazing, it will be a lot of fun, although I can’t really sing, but I can just do what Ron did, I could just like sit there and look terrifying, I can put on acts and stuff, yeah I think it could work, to be honest, I don’t even know why I’m telling you this, it’s just stupid . I’m probably gonna be made fun of wanting to do this, But yeah, that’s just a dream of mine . A lot of people just wanna do stuff for fame and a lot of attention seeking, but I know that that is not the case, I just wanna do it because I feel like I can really do it and get stuck in, I don’t wanna do it for the money and the fame, I wanna do it because I have the passion for it. My hopes are high, but I just know it will never happen, I just wanna be noticed by the Sparks brothers, like that’s all I want, but I know that it’s never gonna happen, but yeah And Russel, Ron, if you’re reading this, which I highly doubt that you are, but if you are reading this, you have possibly come across this message, can you let me know if you think that I could be in Sparks . Just give me your honest opinion, I’m open to certain criticisms . Thank you, love you, have a nice day .

There was this other bit in the documentary that was just hilarious, it was this bit where they were talking about the time where Ron got injured on stage, and it happened because Russel brought this massive chopper on stage, it was like a hammer and he threw it up into the air and it accidently landed on Ron’s head and everyone including the crowd, started laughing because they thought that it was part of the act, but then they all stopped and looked worried and then Russel thought ” Oh shit, Ron’s gonna die ”  then he had like blood on he’s face ,so then he ended up in hospital after the incident . He recovered within a few weeks, but it was so funny, I mean, it’s not really funny, it’s terrible, but you know what I mean . Then what’s really funny is that Russel keeps bringing the hammer on stage, you’d think that they learned his lesson after what happened with Ron but I guess not, haha . It was just so funny, the documentary details a lot of stuff, like where they grew up, which was Los Angeles, somehow, I always thought that they were British, but when I found out that they were American, I was shocked . But anyway, so they talk about what it was like growing up in their household, and then they talk about the albums they released and stuff like that . It features many famous faces, like Mike Myers is in it, you may know him from a couple of Austin Powers movies, and Wayne’s World and Wayne’s World 2, So I Married An Axe Murder, which is like one of my favorite films, I also really love Wayne’s World, it’s so funny, it’s a classic 90s film. So yeah, he shares his love for Sparks as well. It’s kinda funny actually, because a few months ago, before the documentary came out, my sister was talking about Mike Myers, cause he was at an Indian resteraunt, having a curry, when all of the sudden, the Sparks brothers walk into the resteraunt and they ended up sitting and eating together, like what are the chances of that happening, ay ?, it’s crazy, life is so weird, haha, that must have been so cool, he must have been starstruck, like his most favorite musical duo, who made music that he grew up with and they are sitting right there with you, it’s crazy if you think about it .

It is a fun packed documentary, it was so good, one of the best documentaries I’ve ever seen, if I could, I would definetely watch it again .

I just love these guys so much, yesterday, I sat down in my room and I watched a short video on the funniest interview moments from Sparks and it just brightened up my day and my face lit up and it really made me happy . If I could get one of their record albums, I would probably get Angst In My Pants, Music That You Can Dance To or Kimono / My House, or Whomp That Sucker, or Sparks In Outer Space, either of the albums have great songs on them, but it would have to be one of them . I love all their albums equally the same way, although I feel like my Dad might already own some of them . They released another album in 2017, it is called Hippoptamus . That album has some good songs on their too .

When I was little, my dad showed me the music video for Number One Song In Heaven, I was just transfixed, I was like ” What is this that you’re showing me ?” and then the first thing I saw was a lot of smoke going everywhere, plus five Ron’s all standing around, then you see a guy in some big ass swerve white jacket, I was so confused but now that I am a lot older, I just see it and I smile and say that it’s wicked, now whenever I see them do a performance on Top Of The Pops, I just get really excited or when I just hear about them in general, I get so happy . I love watching all the old Top Of The Pops episodes, I watch them all the time with my dad, they are so enjoyable to watch . I’m totally gonna buy a Sparks T shirt . If there’s any kid my age, who loves Sparks just as much as I do, then they can be my friend, like we’ll have so much in common . So if there’s anyone out who loves Sparks, just as much as I do, then please get in touch, I would love to meet you . If you’re gonna be my friend, you’re gonna have to like Sparks, well, you don’t have to, you can be my friend, no matter what taste in music you have, but if you’re gonna be my friend, you’re gonna have to like Sparks, cause we will be singing Sparks songs from dusk till dawn. You’re also gonna have to put up with a few small things . You’re gonna have to do a Left Out In The Cold duet with me and be prepared to hear that song on repeat . Haha . Looking forward to hearing from you . I’ll always be here, posting daily .

One of my favorite live performances is Cool Places and Popularity . It was featured on some show and Russel and Jane Wiedlin were doing a duet and it was absolutely amazing, they both did an amazing job, Popularity is a really good song . Half way through the performance, Ron stepped away from his key board and started doing break dancing, it was absolutely hilarious, he couldn’t even do it properly, it just made me laugh my head off, it was brilliant . Loved that live performance, Jane was amazing, she’s like my favorite Go Go, she’s just amazing . As well as Ron and Russel, they’re always amazing . Loved Russel’s dancing, he was rocking it up there . Amazing as always . Sparks never fails to impress me .

When I first heard their music, I thought that the songs were sung by a woman, like when I heard This Town and Here In Heaven, I thought it was sung by a French woman, because of how it was sung, but when I heard that it was sung by a man, I was shocked, but at the same time, I kind of liked it, because Russel’s voice made the song, I love the high pitched voice, their music is so weird but it’s amazing. I almost feel like many artists don’t do stuff like this anymore, I feel like artists and musicians just don’t wanna be weird anymore, they wanna be like everyone else, they wanna be normal, like they don’t wanna stand out from all the other artists. No offense to songwriters and artists these days, like just do your thing, but I sort of wanna see on what people can do, like if society lets them speak and think for themselves, they can really create a piece of art .

The Sparks brothers were also involved in another project . They did the soundtrack for a film, called Anette, which was a film that came out, in 2021 . Annette is a phychological drama, I’ve never seen it before, but I have to admit, it looks so weird . But yeah, the Sparks brothers made the soundtrack and they teamed up with Adam Driver, who also stars in the film and he also sings in the songs as well . I actually watched a short video which featured Ron and Russel, talking about the project and what it was like being a part of something like that, it was really interesting . The music is actually really good, I think I might listen to it, one of these days . A few weeks ago, I listened to the Annette sound track and it’s absolutely sensational. I haven’t seen the film yet, but I would love to check it out, some time . The sound track just gave me goosebumps, it is absolutely amazing, they did a great job . They won an award at the Cesar awards, this year and I have to say, it’s so well deserved, they deserve as much awards and appreciation as possible. I’m so glad they won something, it’s about time  .

I have been introducing a lot of music and loads of songs to my baby cousin, she is currently 4 years old, but she knows a lot of good music, I’ve just been introducing her to all the 70s and 80s classics and musicians, such as, Cindi Lauper, Madonna, she loves Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Cindi Lauper, we always dance around and sing along to that song whilst singing our lungs out into a hair brush, it’s so much fun . She loves Material Girl by Madonna, including me, we both love it . She loves Manic Monday by The Bangles, she also loves Footloose by Kenny Loggins, she also likes Twist Of Fate by Olivia Newton John, she also likes China In Your Hand by T’ Pau, she also loves I Think We’re Alone Now by Tiffany, she also loves 9 To 5 by Dolly Parton, she also loves I Wanna Dance With Somebody by Whitney Houston, she also loves What A Feeling by Irene Cara, she also loves Fame by Irene Cara, she also loves I Should Be So Lucky by Kylie Minogue, she also loves Gloria by Laura Branigan, she also loves Take On Me by Ah Ha, she also loves song Mickey by Toni Basil, she goes crazy every time I put it on for her . I think I also introduced Sparks to her as well, I showed her the video for This Town and Number One Song In Heaven and she also likes Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This by The Eurythmics, she was quite confused by it, it takes a long time for her to wrap her head around it, but I’m positive that when she is older, she will show some appreciation for it . I also introduced ” What A Feeling ” by Irene Cara to her and she really likes it, every time the lyric ” Take your passion ” comes on, she says ” Take your passion time, what are you doing ? ” and it’s hilarious, she makes up her own song lyrics, she’s so cute, she’s gonna be like another version of me when she grows up, haha, never fails to make me smile . Speaking of which, I actually put on the last scene of Flashdance, it’s the bit where she does that big iconic dance routine, then my cousin just started copying the dance, like she was spinning around, she was pretending to do breakdancing, and I actually got it on camera, because I felt like she would never do it again, so I just captured it on my phone, that was so cute, and every time she does a dance, she says ” Christina, no pictures ”, she’s so funny, she loves that dance scene from Flashdance, it’s such an iconic 80s movie, I love it so much, and Jennifer Beales is so pretty .And when I play I Should Be So lucky by Kylie Minogue, the part where the lyric goes ” I should be so lucky, lucky lucky lucky ” then she says ” You’re a very lucky girl ” in a very demanding voice, it’s so funny . She’s gonna grow up and know all the good stuff . Another artist that my cousin likes, is Cindi Lauper, she loves Girls Just Wanna Have Fun, Time After Time and The Goonies R Good Enough. She loves her so much, in fact, she loves her so much that we bought her this pillow for her birthday. I think it was something like a LOL doll and like it had these little bits that were pink in her hair and told her that it was Cindi Lauper and she absolutely loved it . We used to like point at the pillow and ask her like ” Who is that ?” and then she says ” Cindi Laughter ” and we laughed a lot and then when we asked her the second time, she said ” Cindi Lauper ” so I think she finally got it . But she loves her pillow, she sleeps with it all the time .

right ok, there was thing that happened a few months ago, I was at my Gran’s house and I was playing with my cousin and I was sitting on the sofa and I was on my phone and I was watching this video about Ralph Macchio, cause it was the same day as his birthday and someone made a video and in that video, they compared all the films and tv shows that he appeared in, it started with the 80s and then it was the 90s and ETC etc, it was really good, and then my cousin caught a glimpse of the video that I was watching and then I was like, ” Cousin, who is that ?” and this is what she said, ” Hahaha, Mr Dudey ” and she was laughing her head off, every time I show a picture to her, she says the same name. Like she said the same thing when I showed her a photo of Rob Lowe when he was in the 80s and the first time, she called him ” Daddy ” because he thought he looked like her dad and then she said ” Mr Doodey ” it was hilarious .

Update} Ok so, the day before yesterday, I introduced Sparks to my little cousin, I was at my nan’s house and me and my cousin were upstairs and we were listening to music and we were dancing and just having fun and I put on Cool Places by Sparks and she flipped and when I say flipped, she actually flipped, as soon as the video started playing, she was transfixed, her eyes were just glued to the screen and she was invested in Ron, as he appears in the beginning, she just stared at the screen and then she started copying his weird tap dance and it was hilarious, we had so much fun. Then also, there was this bit in the music video where Ron is sitting in an obscure position and he was eating a banana, and then my cousin saw it and she was like ” Look, she’s eating a banana ” and it’s funny because every time she sees some guy in a video or a picture, she always says it’s a she, haha, it was so funny . And then, there’s another bit that happens at the end in the music video, where the song ends and Jane, Ron and Russel are standing together and Jane and Russel sing the words ” Where’s the cool places ?” then my cousin said it as well and I just couldn’t stop laughing . it’s now one of her favorite songs, it just goes to show how you should never be afraid to listen to new things and stuff like that is timeless, any generation would enjoy it, it never gets old, that’s why I love all the old stuff, kids of all ages can enjoy it, it’s the same with films, when my cousin is about 15, we’re gonna watch The Outsiders, St Elmo’s Fire, The Breakfast Club, Pretty And Pink, Sixteen Candles, Mean Girls, The Karate Kid, Footloose, Steel Magnolias and Flash Dance, there’s so much to look forward to . But yeah, she’s gonna grow up with great taste, that’s for sure . The fun times we’ve had will always be remembered, they will become wonderful memories, but sometimes, it’s good to live in the moment and appreciate what’s around you .

In fact, I love Sparks so much that I’m starting on a new project. So you guys know that I write my own scripts and dream up characters for tv imaginary tv shows, I’m actually working on a tv mocumentary show about a band, it is set in the early seventies, the band is called Smoke And Mirrors and they make really bizarre music, I got some inspiration from Sparks and made some characters . The keyboard player is inspired by Ron Mael, he just about does the same thing, his name is Colton Indiana Ashdown Havers, he plays the Roland, but he sometimes plays the Yamaha too, and the frontman is also inspired by Russel Mael, his name is Christian Elliot Thompson Zaffa and he is the lead singer of the band . There’s also a guitarist, there’s also a saxasphone player, his name is Brie Varson, there’s also a drummer, his name is Christofsky Hindmarsh, there’s also a violin player, his name is Maxton Kinky Diamond, and their manager is called Hugo Saffa Morgan. What they wanna do is they wanna give people a taste of what they are capable of and they wanna make people think straight, that’s all they wanna do, really . It’s just late 60s, early 70s and there’s some different music coming in from the music indestury . They are really a bunch of maniacs and you just watch them do mad shit, really . and it’s absolutely hilarious . It’s a comedy / mocumentary just following their daily lives and hardships of forming a band and being in the music indestury . There are also many Sparks references and they mention them quite often. It’s obviously gonna include many funny moments and weird fashion choices . They may seem very eccentric but actually, they seem very down to earth, they just create weird content . You go on a journey with them through time, watch their career flourish, as you watch them go through the 70s, the 80s and the 90s and watch them make hundreds of stitch ups . This band is from Hackney, they have cockney accents and they are also quite mad, not like phycopaths and murderers but just fairly mad . Their biggest goal is to go on Top Of The Pops, that’s what they are trying to do. They are not rising up to fame just yet, they are not that big but they are slowly making appearances on day time television and people are thinking ” Who the hell are these guys ” but people will soon find out . These band members have some hilarious stories to tell, they are so funny and they sort of know what they want out of it, they are just there to start their business and finish it and go . I think you guys will really love it, it’s gonna be great, it’s coming very soon, so stay tuned. Hugo Saffa Morgan is their manager, he manages the band, you could already tell that the band members are gonna slowly drive him mad, haha . I was up to the point of thinking of some names for the band, I came up with three, at first, I started with Rising Choker, but I was like no, it sounds like some sort of heavy metal rock band, guys with massive side burns, um no, then I thought of Weeping Wallows, and I was like ” What the hell ?” and then I thought of Wallowing Spree, I have no idea where that one came from, I come up with some mad names, let me tell you that, then, I ended up with Death By Sunrise and I was like ” No that’s terrible ” so lastly, I came up with Smoke And Mirrors, so what it’s called, it’s the best I could do, haha . It’s gonna be hilarious, the show is called God Bless The Band, it’s one of the best things I have ever wrote, in my opinion, it’s definetely worth the wait, so stay tuned .

Also another thing, the documentary was produced by Edgar Wright . If you’re not very familiar with them, basically, he was the director who directed many films, including Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, Hot Fuzz and Baby Driver and many more . But the documentary was so well written and thought out . It was so interesting, it tells you so much, it was actually one of my favorite documentaries and now that I have seen it, I love Sparks even more and I’m listening to them pretty much every day . Edgar Wright also stated that he was a big fan of Sparks ever since he was five years old so I guess it really works quite well, there is a also a load of famous well known faces in it as well, including the legends themselves, Mike Myers and many more . If you haven’t listened to their music yet, you need to go and listen to it, because it’s so good . If there’s any Sparks fans out there, hello, nice to meet you,  and lets talk about Sparks and how amazing they are . But if you’re just getting to know them and you’re starting to like their music, then hi welcome to the club, let’s all embrace their music together, haha .  And Russel Mael and Ron Mael, if you’re reading this post, I’m just letting you know that I love you guys so much, you guys really have no idea how much your music has helped me through this awful pandemic, keep up the good work . I’m really sorry if I bored you guys, I just got a little carried away like I had so much to say about them, I pretty much wrote a whole essay on Sparks and 80s pop culture, it should of been a bit more short, but there you go anyways, now you have a few weeks worth of stuff to read, haha enjoy .

Thank you for reading this post, I hope you liked it, love you, stay safe, have a nice day .
