Joe’s First Date, Script

Joe} Hey.

Hayley} Hey, how did the date go ?.

Joe} Terrible, she broke up with me.

Hayley} Oh no, I am so sorry.

Joe} Yeah, I don’t think I was good enough.

Hayley} That’s nonsense , of course you was.

Joe} No, she was great, didn’t have any luck.

Hayley} Well, that is not true, it is not your fault, shame on her.

Joe} Well, what am I gonna do now ?.

Hayley} Joe, look , there are plenty out there, there’s plenty fish in the sea.

Joe} Fish, fish, Don’t embarrass me Hayley, I am not looking for bloody fish.

Hayley} I know , but it doesn’t all involve around one person.

Joe} I know, but she was perfect, and you understand that.

Hayley} I don’t know her, so, What did you guys do anyway ?.

Joe} Well, we sat down in a park, and had a conversation, and she left, ” what happened Jess ?, why did you leave me?, I could of been somebody.

Hayley} Joe, are you ok ?.

Joe} No.

Hayley} Look, you’ve moved on, just forget about it now.

Joe} I don’t care, you don’t know on how much effort I have put in .

Hayley} Yeah, I know, what clothes did she wear ?.

Joe} What is that got to do with anything  ?.

Hayley} It plays like a part.

Joe} I am here, talking about the girl and you are talking about the shoes she wears .

Hayley} What did you guys talk about ?.

Joe} Well, she never talked, but I told her about a bird, that’s all I remember.

Hayley} No wonder why she left you .

Joe} Excuse me ?.

Hayley} Joe, you do know that girls don’t like boys who talk about boring topics.

Joe} Birds aren’t boring, and neither are squirrels.

Hayley} The person left because the talk was boring, she didn’t leave you because she saw an ice cream van.

Joe} Well, she probably saw something.

Hayley} Joe, she didn’t see anything, stop being a fantasist.

Joe} What the hell do you know about dating ?.

Hayley} Well, probably more then you do.

Joe} but Geez, it’s like breaking up with  bloody  Cherry Valance .

Hayley} Who the hell is Cherry Valance ?.

Joe} Hayley, Cherry Valance was from that movie, called the outsiders, she was the girlfriend of one of the socials .

Hayley} I know Joe, Dating is not my thing either, anyway, what the hell is that got to do with us ?, I watched the film but I am not a fictional character.

Joe} Are you kidding me ?, you look  like somebody who goes out with a villain .

Hayley} Hey, not cool. who do you think I am, goody two shoes ?. Dating is not for everyone, and you understand that.

Joe} All my life I have been waiting to find a girl, now that the time has come , it has turned out as a failure.

Hayley} Well, that is the reality, you are not in a wonderland or Love Island.

Joe} Have you ever been on a date , Hayley ?.

Hayley} I have once, it’s not a great memory, I mucked it up.

Joe} Why ?.

Hayley} I got the guy’s name wrong, I kick myself everyday , for that.

Joe} I am very sorry for that.

Hayley} Yeah, I’d rather not talk about that .

Joe} Yeah, it’s not our faults right ?, shame on them.

Hayley} Yeah exactly.

Joe} Why don’t we forget about this dating crap and have some fun.

Hayley} Yeah.
