The Kinks is one of my all time favorite bands from the 60s . I absolutely love The Kinks . They are great . They made some really good songs . My favorite songs are You Really Got Me, All Day And All Of The Night and Starstruck. They just made some really great music . The Beatles is another one of my favorite bands from the 60s . I love The Beatles, they are amazing . People went mad for them back in the 60s, it’s mainly women, but there were some men who admired them as well. They made some really good songs . My favorite songs are Let It Be, Yellow Submarine, Hey Jude, Come Together, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Helter Skelter, Yesterday, Here Comes The Sun and many more . Their music is just amazing, I love them so much . It’s a shame that half of them are dead, I think that Paul Mccartney and Ringo Star are the last two remaining Beatles, they are the last ones standing, which is a shame but we can still enjoy their music . Paul Mccartney was so cute when he was younger, oh my goodness . I’m always watching videos about them on You Tube, like interviews and clips of them in the studio, they are so funny, always cheers me up . If you haven’t listened to their music yet, go and check it out, cause it is amazing .

The Beach Boys is another one of my favorite bands from the 60s . The Beach Boys are great, I love them, they made some really good music . Another great band from the 60s . If you haven’t listened to their music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s really good .

The Exciters is another one of my favorite bands from the 60s . I love The Exciters, they’re amazing . If you haven’t listened to their music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s amazing .

Peter And Gordon is another one of my favourite groups from the 60s . Peter And Gordon was a great duo. A World Without Love is one of my all time favourite songs, the lyrics are hilarious. You think the song is about a man getting locked up in a mental asylum, because of the lyric ” Please, lock me away ”, but actually, the song is about a man who doesn’t want to live in a world without love, so he wants to be locked away in his house. It’s a really good song, the film, Last Night In Soho introduced me to this amazing song, it’s the scene where Eloise is dancing in her room and that song is playing in the back round, such an amazing scene, love the song, love the film . Their music is actually really good, my dad brought one of their records, there are some really good songs on it . They are both really amazing, one of them has a really nice voice, I don’t know what he’s name is, it’s either Peter or Gordon, but either way, they are both amazing . If you haven’t listened to their music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s really good .

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons is another one of my favourite groups and bands from the 60s . I bloody love Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, they are brilliant . They made some really great music . My favourite songs are Marcie, Sherry, Walk Like A Man, Big Girls Don’t Cry and Rag Doll . They are absolutely fantastic, I listen to their music, pretty much every day, it’s amazing . The rise of the falcetto and the squeaky voice, you know what I’m saying, absolutely brilliant . Most of their songs were featured in the 79 film, The Wanderers, The Wanderers is one of my dad’s favourite films, he’s gonna show it to me, one day, it looks absolutely crazy and wicked . Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons was a great band from the 60s, their music is absolutely sensational . If you don’t know them already, go and check them out, they are amazing .

The Dave Clark 5 is another one of my favourite bands from the 60s .The Dave Clark 5 is absolutely brilliant . Love their music . They made some great stuff . Glad All Over is one of my all time favourite songs. Glad All Over is a great song, it makes me so happy every time I listen to it, just the sound that comes out of that song is sensational . Their music is amazing. If you haven’t listened to their music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s amazing .

Dave Dee, Dozy Beaky, Mick and Tich is another one of my all time favourite bands from the 60s . They are brilliant . One of my all time favourite songs is Last Night In Soho. That song is so thrilling and haunting, it’s so good, it’s a great song . Hold Tight is another great song . We bought one of their albums, it’s the one with the Last Night In Soho track, the songs that were featured on the album were really good . They made some really good music . If you haven’t listened to their music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s wicked .

The Honeycombs is another one of my favourite bands from the 60s . The Honeycombs are absolutely amazing . They were a great band . Have I The Right ? is one of my all time favourite songs . Have I The Right is a great song . Have I The Right has to be in my opinion, one of the best songs from the 60s . The sound that comes out of that song is absolutely exceptional . And to think that the song was made in Joe Meek’s apartment, is crazy, Joe Meek was a genius . He had bands performing in the toilets and he had band members playing their instruments and singing on the stairs and all that shit and it still sounds wicked, that’s the sign of a true true genius . Every time I listen to Have I The Right, I just think of that scene in Telstar, The Joe Meek Story, where they’re all stomping on the floor and they’re making an absolute racket and the woman who was working in the hand bag shop downstairs is just losing her marbles, it’s a great scene . I’ve seen the film twice now, I’ve just recently watched it again, since someone uploaded the film on You Tube, so I watched it again, and oh my god, what a film, it’s just done so well . It’s exceptional. It’s a sad story, really, Joe Meek was an odd ball, really, but he was a genius . This is the man who invented the Tv, right before it was even a thing, it could of been a TV or a radio, I can’t remember, but, that’s what I’m saying, this man was clearly a genius . It’s a shame that it went the way it did . Colour slide is another great song . It’s a song about this man who meets someone, it doesn’t say if it’s a woman, but he’s met someone somewhere and he doesn’t know the person’s name, but he’s kept a colour slide of all the memories they had together, which is so sweet, it’s a really nice song . Eyes is a good song as well . The girl who is on the drums is amazing, she smashes it every single time . The Honeycombs will always be one of my favourite bands from the 60s, they are amazing . If you haven’t listened to their music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s amazing .

The Outlaws is another one of my favourite bands from the 60s . The Outlaws is amazing . The Outlaws is another band that was involved with Joe Meek . Joe Meek was the first record producer in the 60s, and he was an absolute genius. He was an odd character, but he was a genius. He was fascinated in sounds and stuff like that. He just made music and drive himself mad in the process, it’s a really sad story, I recommend you to watch Telstar, The Joe Meek Story, because it’s a great film, it really told the story in a beautiful way . With such an amazing cast, it made me cry the first time I watched it, it was exceptional, it’s a shame that it didn’t do well when it came out in 2009, I heard that it didn’t do well, financially, since it was a low budget film and it seemed to have been a massive flop at the box office, but it’s a shame that it gets a lot of bad reputation, I think it’s an amazing film . Ritchie Black more was one of the base players in the group. Mathew Baynton played him in the film . Mathew Baynton is an amazing actor, he really portrayed that character really well . I don’t know, Mathew Baynton as Ritchie Blackmore, absolutely brilliant, it’s like my favourite thing ever . So yeah, Ritchie Blackmore was one of the base players in the group, a few years later, he was in a band, which was called Deep Purple, I have heard some of their songs, they actually made some really good music, but it’s more like rock music, but Ritchie’s guitar playing skills still outshine everyone. My favourite songs are Valley Of The Sioux, Law And Order, Swingin Low, Crazy Drums and Tribute To Buddy Holly . The Outlaws made some really great tracks . Law And Order is a great song . It’s that one where they are performing on this scaffolding looking thing and they’re just standing on that thing, trying to play their instruments and one of them was doing that dance where he sways from side to side, I think it’s Ritchie Blackmore, that thing was bloody brilliant, my dad showed it to me, once and I saw it and I was like ” What the hell is going on there ?, why’s that man dancing like that ?”, it was so weird, but when I look back at it now, I understand why he loved it in the first place . Valley Of The Sioux is another great song, when I heard it for the first time, I just fell in love with it, it’s a great song . Every time I listen it to it, it just reminds me of the film and all that stuff, even though they never played it in the film, but it just reminds me of that, for some apparent reason, it’s a song that makes you feel happy and sad at the same time, it’s amazing . Joe Meek had a really good ear, he knew all the good stuff . If you haven’t listened to their music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s amazing .

The Tornados is another one of my favourite bands from the 60s . The Tornados was another band that was involved with Joe Meek. They made some amazing music . My favourite songs are Stingray, Telstar, Do You Come Here Often ?, The Ice Cream Man, Hymn For Teenagers and Globe Trotter . They make amazing intrumental music, it’s just really laid back, beautiful intrumental music . I love their music so much . Telstar is one of my all time favourite songs from them. Telstar is an amazing song . Joe Meek had all the genius ideas, he came up with that satellite thing. Every time hear that song, I just get goosebumps, the sound in that song is amazing . Telstar became number one for quite some time, it was so big, that even Margret Thatcher had the record of it . I mean, how about that ay ?. I hate Margret Thatcher but you have to respect her taste in music, Telstar is fantastic . Hienz Burt was in this band, he was in this right before he started making his own music, he was one of the base players in the group . Hienz was known for being the second to worst base player in that time, so after all that happened, Joe Meek changed his hairstyle and made him look like some weird space alien or something, haha, then he taught him how to be a pop star or like a proper singer, they also showcased that in the film, he looked demented . I think Hienz was a bit mad, but he is a legend though . The Tornados are just amazing, they’ll always be one of my favourite bands from the 60s . If you haven’t listened to their music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s amazing .

The Searchers is another one of my favourite bands from the 60s . They made some really good music . Don’t Throw Your Love Away has to be one of my absolute favourites . It’s a great song . I haven’t really listened to the rest of them but I’m going to listen to some of them, they’re music is incredible . The 60s was full of amazing bands and musicians . If you haven’t listened to their music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s amazing .

Simon and Garfunkel is another one of my favourite music duos from the 60s . It’s good old Simon and Garfunkie, um, we always used to take the piss and joke about them in the family, but jokes aside, they actually made some good music . I think it depends on someone’s taste, not everyone likes their music, and that’s okay, but they actually made some really good music . It’s just really laid back and peaceful slow music, but it’s actually rather good . If you haven’t listened to their music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s really good .

The Cryin Shames is another one of my favourite bands from the 60s . The Cryin Shames was another band that was involved with Joe Meek, Joe Meek dealt with hundreds of those sorts of bands . This was one of the last bands he ever dealt with before he died .The Cryin Shames made some really good songs . Please Stay and Nobody Waved Goodbye are my absolute favourites . Please Stay has me crying every time I listen to it, it’s such a beautiful song, but it’s so sad . Every time I listen to that song, it reminds me of Telstar, The Joe Meek Story, because they used that song for the ending, where they started rolling the credits and showing all the photos of all the characters, compared to the real ones and it’s so emotional, I cry every single time . Duffy did a cover of that song, it’s not bad, in fact, it’s pretty good, but you still can’t beat the original, Cryin” Shames all the way. They used the Duffy version for the film because of the copyright, so the BBC put that version out instead, I think that they tried to appeal to the younger generations by using Duffy’s version, I’m so glad that someone uploaded the original ending credits on You Tube, it made it more emotional and it made sense, since The Cryin Shames was the last band that Joe Meek ever worked with after his tragic death . Not only did they use it for the film, but they also played it in the Joe Meek documentary. The Drifters did the original, I think a bunch of other singers did covers as well. The lead singer has a very nice voice, I like it very much, it’s amazing . If you haven’t listened to their music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s amazing .

Me and my dad were listening to this song in the car, a few months ago and we just couldn’t stop laughing . The whole song is just ” Cousin Jane, Cousin Jane, she’s come to stay again ”, and it’s just like that throughout the whole song, those are the only lyrics to the song, it’s so weird, but jokes aside, Cousin Jane is a really good song . What I wanna know is, What happened to Cousin Jane, did she come to stay again, what happened when she arrived at the house, I’m fascinated in the Cousin Jane story, haha, I need a follow up, a follow up after Cousin Jane’s stay, haha . The Troggs made some really good music . If you haven’t listened to their music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s really good .

When I heard it for the first time, I was like ” Oh my goodness, I love this, this is amazing ”. There’s Always Something There { To Remind Me} is another great song, I love it so much . Every time I hear it, it makes me wanna get up and dance . If you haven’t listened to her music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s really good .

Petula Clark is another one of my favourite singers from the 60s . I love Petula Clark, she’s amazing . One of my all time favourite songs is Down Town, I absolutely love Down Town, it’s a great song . I know this song from the film, Last Night In Soho, such an exceptional film, I love it so much . Anya Taylor Joy did a cover of that song for the film, she did a great job, she absolutely killed it, she can really sing as well as act, she is really talented at everything she does, I really love her, she’s amazing . I loved Anya’s version, the Untempo and Acapella ones are my favourite. I never knew Petula Clark did the original, it wasn’t until my mum told me and I heard the song and it is amazing . He did a song, which was called Johnny Remember Me, that song turned out to be a hit, it was in the charts for quite a long time. Johnny Remember Me is a great song, it sounds a bit creepy but it’s amazing, like the sound that comes out of that song, is absolutely wicked . He did a bunch of other really great songs as well, Son Is This She is a great song as well, Tell Laura I Love Her is pretty good as well, Wild Wind is great as well, Beautiful Dreamer is great as well, they made some really good songs . Hienz Burt is another one of my favourite singers and artists from the 60s . I may have mentioned his name before. Hienz was a bassist. He was in a band, called The Tornados. He was in The Tornados for quite a while, then he went Solo and started making his own music . He actually made some really good songs . My favourite songs are Just Like Eddie, Live It Up, Don’t You Understand, You Were There and many more . Hienz was a bit mad, he was a little bit highly strung, like there was that whole thing where he flipped out and Jess Conrad bit his nose off, haha, that’s the early 60s pop scene for you, I’ll do a write up on that, I’m gonna do a Joe Meek post, a Joe Meek special, where I will be going over all of this stuff, it’s coming very soon, so stay tuned .But yeah no, he was great . He has a nice voice . Don’t You Understand ? and Live It Up are the songs that never fail to make me happy, whenever I feel down, I listen to those songs and they make me smile . Elvis Presley is another one of my favourite male singers from the 60s . Elvis is an absolute legend . What an amazing voice, he has great dance moves, he’s just absolute class . It’s such a shame he died, his music will live on forever, he will always be a legend . All the Elvis impersonators will make sure his legacy continues to shine on . There are hundreds of Elvis impersonators out there, they all pretend to be Elvis to make money . One thing though, why do all the Elvis impersonators look demented, like some of them are really mad and violent, haha, it’s raised a whole generation of demented Elvis impersonators, haha . Some of them are fine, but it’s only a small majority of Elvis impersonators who are just demented, like they just wanna punch someone, they all have these side burns and stuff, haha, they look demented . Elvis made some really great music . What a legend . There’s this video that I watched on You tube, there are these music less music videos, where there’s no sound or music, just back round noise and there’s this Elvis one . And in the music video, he’s dancing and playing his guitar, then you could just hear his shoes making absolute racket on the wood floor, like there’s squeaking and banging, then he just gets aggressive, it’s so funny. People have too much time on their hands, haha, but they are bloody brilliant . Musicless Music videos always make me crack up . If you haven’t listened to his music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s really good .

James Ray is another one of my favourite singers from the 60s . James Ray is a really good singer. He made some really good songs . One of my favourites is I’ve Got My Mind Set On You, it’s such a good song . I never actually knew that he did the original, cause he did the original, then George Harrison did the cover straight afterwards in the 80s . I only knew George Harrison’s version, I never knew that James Ray did the original . Both songs have different vibes, George Harrison’s version is really catchy and you can dance to it, and James Ray’s version is very catchy but very slow, but I do love both of them the same . James Ray should get all the credit, because he came up with it first, but George Harrison’s version is amazing as well, they’re both amazing in their own ways . If you haven’t listened to his music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s really good .

That song was so weird, but it’s absolutely brilliant . The whole entire time, I thought that Rod Stewart sung this song, cause it’s his voice, it sounds very similar to Rod Stewart in some way . The Damned did a cover of this song in the 80s, The Damned is another one of my all time favourite bands . They did a version of this song, but it was like Punk rock, their version was really good . The Damned made some really good songs . New Rose, Eloise and Love Song are my favourite songs from them . They are a great band . Barry Ryan did the original. I love the switches in the song, I love how there’s a bit where it goes really slow and then it goes fast again, then it’s slow again, it just changes throughout the song, I love that . At the end of the song, he just starts going ape shit and starts screaming and shouting, that part is hilarious, it gets me every time . Eloise is a great song, Barry Ryan is a good singer . She made some really good songs . These Boots Are Made For Walking is one of my favourite songs of all the time, it’s so good . Me and my cousin used to dance to this song. We used to copy all the dancers in the music video and the bit where Nancy says ” Are you ready boots ?, start walking ”, then we all just start running around the sitting room, it’s so funny . I really love These Boots Are Made For Walking, it’s a great song . It’s a song about feminism and girl power, but I love how it’s not trying to bash men and be like, oh yeah, female is the stronger gender and try to drag the men down just so they can stand tall, it is a song about female empowerment but it’s not radical feminism and it’s saying that women can be badass and still be girly and buy shoes and stuff like that, so that’s what I like about it . I loved it when she did the theme for You’ll Only Live Twice, which was one of Sean Connery’s James Bond films, it’s the one where Bond just gets out of his depth and slowly becomes Japanese, haha . The You’ll Only Live Twice theme is so good, it’s one of my favourite James Bond songs. Nancy Sinatra absolutely killed it, she did a great job . You’ll Only Live Twice is one of my all time favourite James Bond films, the old ones are the best. Nancy Sinatra is Frank Sinatra’s eldest daughter, the talent runs in the family, passed on by her dad. Nancy Sinatra is amazing, I love her so much, what an icon . If you haven’t listened to her music yet, go and check it out, cause it’s amazing .
{Talking about 60s music, why I love it}
I absolutely love 60s music. It’s just so different from the rest of the music from different decades . 80s music is very much like poppy and dance music, very energetic, it makes you wanna get up and dance, I love music from the 80s, cause it makes me feel happy, but 60s music is very different . The 60s was a time where pop music was very big, you had many new voices in the music indestury . The music from the 60s has a different energy . I’m just starting to really like 60s music . I’m finding out about new bands and musicians . My dad and my mum introduced me to Cilla Black, Dusty Springfield, John Leyton, Hienz and all those sorts of singers . I don’t only listen to 60s music, I listen to other stuff too . I listen to stuff from the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s and a bit of the 90s, I don’t really care for the 90s that much, 90s music isn’t really my thing, to be honest, it’s just like dance music. But there are some songs that are from the 90s that I like . I also listen to some stuff from the 2000s as well. The 60s was a great decade for music . Musicians and icons from the 60s had a lot of talent and they had really nice voices, they also had a charm to them . I just really love 60s music . I listen to a lot of music in my time . I don’t know what my life would be like if I didn’t have music, it would feel so worthless . But yeah, 60s music is amazing . It’s good to listen to all sorts of music, be open to different kinds of music . I also really love fashion from the 60s, it’s really stylish .

Thank you so much for reading this post, I hope you found out lots about me and the 60s music I like. I hope you enjoyed it and have a nice day .
