Jesus Of Nazareth
Jesus Of Nazareth is a brilliant, amazing British/ Italian 4 part drama series/ film directed by Franco Zeffirelli that came out in 1977 starring Robert Powell and so many other famous faces. It’s about the life of Jesus Christ and it’s one of the most amazing adaptations I have ever had the pleasure of watching. Everyone was amazing, they all gave wonderful performances, it had fantastic cinematography, a sublime film score/ soundtrack. Robert Powell gave such a powerful performance as Jesus and he made me cry so many times. One of his best ever performances for sure. His face alone can tell a story without even saying a word. That’s the magic of Robert Powell, he is an enormous talent and he really brought this character to life in the most amazing way.
The whole thing is a masterpiece from start to finish but the last half of the series really won me over and I was experiencing all these emotions I never even knew I had. Just brilliant stuff and you are never going to get a better cast than that. So many legends in one cast and the performances they gave just blew me away and it was just amazing, I’m so glad I watched it.
I have mentioned this on my blog before. But I wanted it to have its own post because this series means so much to me, it really made a big impact on me when I first watched it.
It started off as a TV series but they later adapted it into a full length film. I watched the TV series and I’m very happy to say it’s now one of my favourite drama series ever. It really is something special and there is so much heart and soul that went into this fantastic art piece. I think it told the story beautifully and it made me a bit emotional in certain parts, it was just very beautiful and I was moved by it.
I totally recommend you guys watch it, it’s really amazing. It’s a classic that needs to be discovered by more people.
Thank you guys so much for reading this post, I hope you all have a lovely day wherever you are right now, love you guys
